Lay 'em on me girls! I want all your beauty tips - no matter how weird! Of course the guys can help too, but I though this would be more up the girls' alley!
What I mean is - I recently found out how amazing you look after tanning, or what a HUGE difference tweezing your eyebrows make! And if someone would have just told me this sooner I could have saved myself a lot of tears, i look 10 times better now and in 10 days I've gotten more boys than I ever have in my life! (i used to be bullied, boys wouldn't even look my way!)
So help me - tell me what you've got?! Any discoveries that completely changed your life (or atleast your look!) ?
Thank you! It could be anything from eye-make up to ... well, anything really. Haha :)
--Light perfumes with slightly musty scents have that little masculine tinge that work for a sexy scent. If you find one scent that you really like, use it as your signature scent-- something unique. I use Hollister August.
--To make your eyes stand out, instead of lining the inside with eyeliner pencils which will inevitably smudge, draw a really thin line on the outside of your top lashes with liquid eyeliner. This also looks less like costume make-up. I use Sephora black liquid eyeliner.
--Only shave your legs when you have to, e.g. the morning before you are going on a hot date. Your girl friends really don't care if you have a little stubble, and the less you shave, the less thick and black your leg hair follicles will be. [ duzzie19's advice column | Ask duzzie19 A Question ]
Ashumms answered Thursday June 21 2007, 9:33 pm: To get dewy skin, put a thin layer of vaseline on your face before going to bed. It doesn't clog your pores and makes your skin look like it has a beach glow.
To get my hair really clean but not dry it out at the same time, I mix one third ketchup and two thirds mayonnaise and leave it in my hair for five minutes. I rinse it out then shampoo twice and condition once. It makes my hair super soft and silky.
to make my eyelashes look fuller, i use an eyeliner with a super pointy tip and draw a thin line on the underside of them.
To make my eyes look larger, I use a white eyeliner to line the inside of my bottom eyelid. It makes my eyes pop.
lilteacup answered Thursday June 21 2007, 8:03 pm: i saw that someone told you to put toothpaste on your pimples, and don't! Toothpaste clogs up your pores.
And for some other tips:
Find good mascara, I personally like the telescopic mascara...only bad thing is that it is not waterproof...but it doesn't clump.
Do not bite/lick your lips, it's bad for them. Make sure you use chap stick to help with cracked lips. Vaseline is pretty good too.
More is not always better...a natural look is really the best look for everyday wear.
I love watching what not to wear...cause Carmindy gives pretty good make up advice and she is very into natural looks.
xokristabelle answered Thursday June 21 2007, 6:18 pm: - The right color of blush makes an amazing difference. It makes you look prettier and more awake if applied with a large, poofy blush brush.
- Having your hair done makes a huge difference. At the very least blowdry it.
- For pimples, Clear and Clear Advantage Invisible Spot Treatment makes a huge difference.
- Lip gloss also makes a huge difference. Find a cute, subtle color and the difference will be hueg.
- Black eyeliner looks good on no one. I repeat, no one. Try dark brown or lining your eyes with shadow instead.
- Whiter teeth really do make a huge difference. Try Crest Whitestrips.
- Brush your hair. Often. Even if you don't think you need to, it makes it look shinier and healthier.
- A super-light cream eyeshadow, applied on your browbone and inner corners of your eyes, opens them up.
- Always carry around lotion.
- For an even skin tone without wearing tons of makeup, try tinted moisturizer. Covergirl makes a great one.
- Curling your eyelashes really does make them look longer.
- Perfume makes a difference in small amounts. Try Victoria's Secret Vanilla Lace, it's subtle.
Shortcake22 answered Thursday June 21 2007, 4:53 pm: Put some white eyeshadow on the inner corners of your eyes. It makes them look bigger and brighter.
White teeth are a MUST. A bright smile will get you noticed very fast. Crest White Strips really work and dentists reccommend them. You see results in about 3 days.
If you get oily skin throughout the day, keep some oil blotting sheets in your purse that way you can avoid a shiny nose and forehead.

Roxeh101 answered Thursday June 21 2007, 3:48 pm: Let's see....never sleep in makeup. It will save you tons of acne. Also wash your face and when you dry it, pat it dry, no scrubbing dry, just scrubbing when washing. Don't tweeze off the top of your eyebrows....and that's about all I can think of at the moment.
