ok my cats are weird. They drink from the toliet. Even when I have given them a fresh bowl of water, they would rather drink out of the toilet. Is there something wrong with them? should I stop them from doing it? If so how?
CheerCandi answered Friday June 1 2007, 9:38 pm: thats perfectly normal. my cat does the same thing. you shouldnt stop it. some cats do develop some dog habits (for example my cat likes to be scratced on the stomach whereas most cats hate it when you touch their stomach) [ CheerCandi's advice column | Ask CheerCandi A Question ]
ANG answered Wednesday May 30 2007, 3:23 pm: You don't have to stop them. My cat does the same thing. His water is in my bathroom right next to the toilet, haha. There's really no way to stop them. Or at least no reason to. [ ANG's advice column | Ask ANG A Question ]
StarryNightSkies answered Wednesday May 30 2007, 3:19 pm: Nothing is wrong with them it's just what they prefer. It's like prefering to drink from a glass rather than a plastic cup.
Of course there is a way to stop it. Put the toilet seat lid down, common sense, that simple. [ StarryNightSkies's advice column | Ask StarryNightSkies A Question ]
Juelz0587 answered Wednesday May 30 2007, 3:12 pm: as long as there are no chemicals or human excriments (ew) in the water it wont hurt anything. Maybe they just like the toilet! Don't worry about it, they are animals and they are gonna be weird [ Juelz0587's advice column | Ask Juelz0587 A Question ]
228gurl answered Wednesday May 30 2007, 3:11 pm: I have lots of pets and there is nothing wrong with your cat it is just clean water just make sure that you use no chemicals in your toilet that are released with each flush like that blue toilet bowl cleaner etc... this can mke your cat very ill. I live on the bayou and my cats always drink the nasty ditch water even though they always have clean water they are going to do it anyway just because we wouldn't drink out of the toilet doesn't mean the water is not clean for them if it really bothers you try keeping the lid down Good Luck :-) [ 228gurl's advice column | Ask 228gurl A Question ]
