Talent show
Okay, so my friend and I are going to do a song for our school talent show. Though at the moment we are thinking of doing the song "Twist and Shout" though, I was wondering if their were any other songs that people would find entertaining that are made for two people. Because "Twist and Shout" isn't exactly a two person song.
Also If it matters, we are 14 and both girls. and not songs that are too terribly high pitched.

That song is too high pitched and not for two singers. It probably wouldn't work.
I'd select another song.
Google songs. Check out duos and ballads.
Find one that is a ballad for two. Or a song that two singers can rotate the lead, or just harmonize well together on.

Twist and shout would be really hard, since its fast, and its mostly just a song to listen to, NOT a song to sing.
I agree with the person person. Singing Yellow Submarine would be a really cute song. Try singing songs from the movie "Grease" that would be cute!

if you could hit the notes, i think you 2 should do aint no mountain high enough, their is a guy part and a girl part but if you use the karaoke version i dont think that will be a problem

twist and shout might be kind of hard to sing just because how the song is. i agree i think you should sing yellow submarine. its still a fun song and everyone will like it

Seeing as you like the Beatles why not take Yellow Submarine on instead. Most of it is sung in unison so if you can blend your voices together easily and then alternate on the lyrics in between the infamous chorus you should be fine.
Do you know how to write and arrange parts yet? If you do you can take Twist and Shout and change the melody (as long as they recognize the song) and divde the vocals by two so one of you sings John's versus and the other Paul's.
I think if you stick to the original idea of doing that number you should be fine. Basically you can take any number and re-arrange it for two people. If you do that and be creative with it that will impress talent judges even more.
