"never take someone for granted hold every person close to your heart cause you might wake up one day and realize that you've lost a diamond while you were too busy collecting stones"-- what does this quotes trying to say? is it about friendship? or what?
StarryNightSkies answered Sunday April 1 2007, 2:25 pm: This is about friendship, pretty much it is saying hold your best friends (known as the diamonds) close to you and don't take them for granted while you are making new friends ("collecting the stones") because you never know when your best friends will get up and leave.
so basically it is saying don't ditch the friends you have for the ones you are going to make.

'collecting stones'- while you might be trying to find friends you can for whetever reasons such as popularity or coolness you might be pushing away your best most valuable friends the 'diamonds'. *Kate* answered Friday March 30 2007, 9:33 pm: It is really about relationships in general. It means that if you worry about small unimportant things like drama, clothes, being popular and even just having as many friends as possible you can end up pushing really great people away. 0NEL0VEEx answered Friday March 30 2007, 7:33 pm: it means exactly what it says. it means to cherish everyone you have no matter what. the diamond stone analogy means that you weren't really paying attention to the important things [diamond], because you were too busy worrying about the non-important things [stones]. so for example, let's say you're running around worrying about silly things- like who's going out with who, what's the latest fasions, or whatever it is that you do lol. while in the meantime, you haven't been actually looking around and realizing how lucky you are to have everything.. such as your parents, and close friends and family. =) so it's just trying to say, to be thankful for every SINGLEEE thing you have. even right down to the fact that you can walk and breathe.. cause those too are treasures.. and to stop worrying about things that don't really matter ♥ [ 0NEL0VEEx's advice column | Ask 0NEL0VEEx A Question ]
hottie411 answered Friday March 30 2007, 7:33 pm: it basically is just talking about anyone important to you. (friends, family, boyfriend...)
it means that you shouldnt take your friends or anyone important to you for granted, and you should care about them and be nice to them, because some day you might lose them if you take them for granted.
lilteacup answered Friday March 30 2007, 7:29 pm: It is about friendships and/or relationships. Basically, you have to realize how lucky you are when you have good people in your life cause while you may be too busy looking for someone that you think is better...and next thing you know...you've lost someone who is important to you and all you are left with is those who aren't as special to you.
