"Nothing’s worse than watching a friend in pain and knowing there is absolutely nothing you can do about it"--- what does this quote trying to say? sorry im just a exchange student from japan.
*Kate* answered Friday March 30 2007, 9:37 pm: It means that one of the worst things in life is watching someone you care about be in pain, whether it be emotional or pyshical and you can't do anything to ease their pain. One example is when a friend has a broken heart, all you can do is give a shoulder to cry on, but they have to do all the healing themselves. [ *Kate*'s advice column | Ask *Kate* A Question ]
Musician answered Friday March 30 2007, 8:25 pm: lol. This is the quote I live on. Basically, it means that it hurts to see someone that you love suffering, when you cant help in any way. For example, if you watched your best friend being stabbed and you're being held back, it hurts you to know that you cant stop their pain.
