im confused, shall i get the nintendo Wii, or the playstation 3. ps3 looks amazing, great graphics, etc. but the Wii is just so crazy cool! its like, "The Console Of The Future!!" but has bad graphics! any help to make me deice will be appreciated, thanks.
theymos answered Sunday March 25 2007, 5:00 pm: If you're planning on playing with other people, go with the Wii. If you're just going to play single-player, go with PS3. You'll have fun with either one, though. [ theymos's advice column | Ask theymos A Question ]
orphans answered Sunday March 25 2007, 4:14 pm: Playstations controller also detects movement. I have both but I prefer the playstation.
No coz of graphics and all but cause of the games. Gamecube was my biggest mistake ever(Donkey Kong Bongo game ? Pokemon? Picachu and Kirby? Super Smash Bros?).
I kind of repeated that mistake by buying the Wii. Here are some games that came out for the Wii.
WarioWare: Smooth Moves
Elebits
Sonic, where he actually looks for some missing pages of the book Arabian Nights
Rayman Raving Rabbids
Music Orchestra
Airplane Simulator
A Golf Game and a Baseball Game
Bomberman Lands
Spongebob and many many more that none of them actually manages to cath my eye.
Great Games that came out for the Playstation
Onimusha, Devil May Cry, Metal Gear, Final Fantasy, Mortal Kombat series, Need For Speed Series and Gran Turismo, RPG's
While Nintendo was making games such as:
1:Conker's Bad Fur Day
2:Mario Kart 64. Now the SNES Mario Kart is one of the best ever, I am still not bored of playing that game. The Mario Kart 64 edition had nothing to do with it though.
3:Banjo Kazzoie.
4:Banjo Tooie.
5:WWF. A wresling game? Are you joking me? Considered to be a top rated game?
6:Super Smash Bros. While everybody could pick up Scorpion from Mortal Kombat and slice a throat, Nintendo owners could pick up Luigi and throw water mellons. WOW!!!GREAT!!!!
7:Pokemon stadium. Need I say more?
8:Mario Golf. A golf game... with Mario.
9:Bomberman 64. Multiplayer kicked a$$ though.
Other famous yet uninteresting titles.
Yoshis Story, Castlevania (How bad was that huh?), Mario Part 2 (worst that No1, better than No 3 from Gamecube), Pokemon Snap, Harvest Moon, Mario Tennis, Ray Man.
And this are the best rated games for Nintendo 64.
Gamecube just sucked, I can prove it, but I am not going to and I dont have to.
So if you wanna play good solid video games, with storyline, video sequences and real music instead of polyphonic ringtones...go for the PS3.
If you wanna erase graffities and pump water on walls, brush Yoshis teath and dress him up for Mushroom Fashion Week,...go for the nintendo. [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
amasparks answered Sunday March 25 2007, 4:03 pm: I personally have the WII as well, and I have every other consel out there. The only one I don't have is PS3, as I don't care much for it.
TIPS:
WII- new idea. nintendo has great games out and it costs less. Its super fun, family kind of fun.
PS3- usually for older people. good graphics, not much new about it. way expensive, price goes down in the future=not that great after all.
ammo answered Sunday March 25 2007, 3:43 pm: Of the two I would personally go for the Wii. Both have very good graphics and a lot of games to choose from but the Wii is not only a lot of fun to play but has been proven to be a great machine to help keep you fit (when playing the sports game included in the package for 30 mins a day).
The PS3 has been set to retail for something along the lines of £450+ here in the UK whereas the Wii is less than £200. I would say the Wii would be a wise choice unless you're a hardcore PS fan in which case the PS may be more to your liking. A nice idea may be to try see both consoles in action and maybe try out a few games on both to see which you prefer the most. There's nothing like hands on experience to help with a decision like this. [ ammo's advice column | Ask ammo A Question ]
solidadvice4teens answered Sunday March 25 2007, 1:53 pm: Where did you hear that the WII has bad graphics? It has impressive graphics that are sharp and crisp. You should see the graphics on some of the games such as Sonic and the Secret Rings.
It just pops out. WII sports is amazing as well as you get to be the boxer, bowler, baseball player, tennis player etc. There's a reason why this console is hard to get. It's also affordable and a lot of fun as you become the actual character by being stapped to the controller.
I stopped playing video games a few years ago but this system brought me back to them. I suggest you get the WII now and save up for the Playstation 3 as it retails for close to $600 American. I'm quite happy with my WII and would not buy another system. [ solidadvice4teens's advice column | Ask solidadvice4teens A Question ]
prettyinpunk answered Sunday March 25 2007, 1:38 pm: I would definitely say the Wii. It's way cheaper, plus it's not the same old controller, you get exercise and stuff so if your parents tell you to stop you can tell them, "But I'm getting exercise!"
