best friend
i wish i had 1 best friend that i could share all my secrets with, and that would be like better than all my other friends and stuff. but most of my friends are just good friends and stuff.. but what do you consider to be best friend material? idk if we're more than good friends yet.. even the ones i've known forever. or maybe they are, but like i still dont think i've found someone that like completely blew me away and that i'd totally know is my best best friend. :/ how do i get one? How do i find one? im always hoping for a new kid in the neighborhood or in my class at school and that we'd click and become best friends. -sigh- what should i do?

you can't really find best friends. They just come. like me and my best friend, we just clicked after my other friend introduced us to each other. I consider best friend material like, someone that i could share ALL my secrets to and they wouldn't tell a single soul. We can call each other like weird/retarded/bad names and we'd just laugh at each other afterwards, and not get like really mad at each other. :] People would look at us and know we were best friends. We do everything together. We agree on almost anything. Stuff like that. you know? well, i really hope i helped. :]

awww! i know that feeling, i'll be your best friend, im an awesome secret keeper, but anyway, you can't really find a best friend, best friends jsut sorta happen, it starts out with just good friends and then you start talking to someone more and hanging out with them more and then yuo sorta just become really close, not everyone has a best friend but everyone should, try hanging out with one of your good friends more or if none of your good friends seem good enough go to a gathering like a teen church gathering or join a club, keep an open mind and you'll meet tons of new people.

To me a best freind is someone you can share anything with and not have to worry about them telling, and no matter if you fight or not you are apologizing to each other like really quickly and are best of friends again (like me and my bestest friend)...
two people can't just be best friends immediately (although me and my bestest friend brittany were ok....then we hated each other....then we became bffs like right away) but id oesn't always happen that way. just get to know a new girl/guy in your neighborhood or school. just start slow, and who knows, you may be best freinds somehwere down the road of life!
just look for someone who shares your interests or that is in a same special class (by special i mean home ec or life skills or spanish, or it could be a regular class) and start up a convo about what happened inthat class that day, or on a project you are working on (if you are)

Trying to look for a specific person is not always easy. ive heard one of my friends say before "if you don't have what you want, we have to be happy with what we have" or something to that effect. i agree with her, i think the friends you have now are people you could get to know better, make more plans with, talk online more, etc. not everyone has to have a best friend to be happy.

best friends are people that come from no where they just happen
-most of the time some one you dislike and need to get to know better
-some times old pals
-some times friend that invites you over and BAM yall talk and share so mild secrets lke crushes to show that you trust each other and walla you got a bff
my advice is stop looking and get to know every one around you

Aww, I understand how you feel, but the qualities that make up a best friend and a friend are completely different.
Friends are people you can talk to just normally, and you don't usually talk to a lot. They're just there, really. You consider them your friends, but you don't know too much about them. Friends don't usually take risks, and you never know what's on their mind. If you have to ask someone what they're thinking about, they're not as close as you think.
Best friends are someone you know inside&out, and you can talk to them about anything. They know all your secrets, you know all of their's. They know where everything in your house is, you borrow each other's close, and you know what the other one is thinking. And you know what they're gonna say next. They always know exactly what you're feeling, and they always know how to cheer you up. They can make you laugh when you feel like dying, and they're the ones who'll sneak out of their houses at night to come & keep you company when your boyfriend dumps you. They're pretty much you're other half & a sibling you NEVER got.
If you have a friend like that, you've found your best friend. And it's not very hard to make one, you've just gotta find someone you're interested in being friends with, and see what you guys have in common. =)

im basically going through the same thing. i have alot of good friends that i can talk about some stuff with, but not just one person i can depend on and will always have my back. But find someone who doesnt critisize you, only helps you. One who doesnt care what your wearing, and sees behind the clothes. and someone who you arent scared to talk about anything with and won't judge you or disagree in a mean/snobby way. and someone who you are nice with and arent worried when they walk the opposite direction in school w/ smeone else, that they are talking about you.
