I agree with you. Really. I think if theres hair down there, its supposed to be there for a reason! But, a lot of guys like when girls shave down there because most people think body hair is disgusting. Unfortunately, thats the way it is and will be for awhile. Guys like girls that are cleaned up everywhere. But, SOME do like hair..some guys even prefer it and get aroused by it. Thats the hard thing..you never know what youre gonna get..the guy who likes it or the guy who doesnt. SO, do what YOU want. Its your body. I'd at least try it once if you want. Just to see what it feels/looks like, etc before you bash it. Youre not supposed to..its perfectly fine if you dont and honestly I wouldnt do it unless youre a) planning on having sex or b) planning on getting in a bikini that you can see the hair. Its NOT worth it to do it if you dont have a reason. ]
I'm with you, sista. I don't understand why anyone would want to shave there, it only causes problems for you. I see it all the time, here on Advicenators -- "I get itchy down there" or "I have a rash..." It not only causes rashes, and being itchy, but you risk cutting yourself too. Which would definitely hurt worse than a paper cut.
And to answer your questions about guys, it depends. Some guys like it when a girl shaves there, and others do not. But trust me, I wouldn't worry about that. Whatever makes you feel comfortable you should stick with.
Finally, what I've been waiting for on Advicenators for forever -- someone who agrees with me on shaving "down there." :) ]
Well if you are sexually active then its best to shave between your legs. Because it will look unatractive and/or feel very awkward. I shave there so i can avoid those things. But its not like you have to but a lot of women do and some men.
Hope i helped :) ]
I'm with you. Why would one want to. It causes rashes and makes you look like a kindergartner. But, some girls like it. You don't have to, but you can if you want to.
Some guys like it, most of those I know of age 20 and up say they won't touch it if it doesn't have hair. They want to know a girl is old enough. So, it
just depends on who you ask. :) ]
Since all guys are different they're going to like different things, especially when it comes to this. Some like it shaved, while the others like it trimmed and then you have the few who like it natural. However, shaving is a personal prefrence. If you want to shave "down there" then go ahead. If you don't then don't, it's totally up to you. ]
Shaving off all of your pubic hair has only recently become popular. In the 1960's people began shaving just enough so that no hair peeked out from the two-piece bathing suit. More hair came off as suits became smaller. A patch of pubic hair, trimmed away from the thighs, and trimmed low, is what I remember seeing in Playboy and other magazines twenty years ago.
I'm not certain when the bare pubis became all the rage, but I do know that perverted men who fantasize about young girls definitely prefer it. I personally do not wish to revert to my prepubescent self. But then, I'm old enough not to care about following trends. And no man has ever said anything about it to me one way or the other--but then, they're older, too.
Just remember, if you decide to do anything about it, that your skin has been protected by the pubic hair and thus will be sensitive until it is used to being "bald". gigi ]
"Why?!"
Shaving can make your body a lot cleaner and make you feel more comftorable.
"Are you supposed to?"
Shaving or not shaving is a personal prefrence, and it should be left up to you and only you!
"Do guys like it?"
Most guys do like girls their with to shave, but then again it all goes back to personal prefrence. Everyone is diffrenet. Just remember, if any guy says he will only be with you if you shave... He's completely not worth it. ]
I read through all those answers and I just wanted to clear a couple of things up.
First, it should be something you do if you want to, it is not expected of you.
Second, some guys prefer it shaved, some guys dont. Granted, the first group has in recent years grown larger than the second. However it still varies from guy to guy (and if you get into details you will get guys who prefer totally shaved, partially shaved, trimmed, or totally natural). This should underline the fact that this is either something you decide to do alone, or together with a partner. There is no right or wrong answer here. ]
personally, i think hair "down there" is disgusting. and yes, so do most guys. but you DO NOT have to if you don't want to. to each their own, basically. if you don't want to, then don't. it's all up to you. hope this clears some things up. :]

Yeah. Apparently guys like it that way.
You don't have to. It's just some people feel more clean when they shave there. It's like being all natural and some people don't like being uber hairy.
Some people feel better with it trimmed or just shaving the bikini line.
...usually, girls just shave because of what guys think. Even though half of the guys don't mind hair [when it's trimmed]
And when they get fingered.. the thought of bunches of hair there will be awkward.
I don't know. I never really like body hair to begin with. ]
I don't care what guys think. I care what I think. And I find that being shaved makes my period a bit . . . neater, for lack of a better word. Besides, I like the way it looks.
But what I, or anyone else, decides, doesn't, and shouldn't, affect you. To each her own. ]
While the previous person may be good at giving female empowerment speeches, I doubt how true her claims are. I am a guy. I know first-hand that I would like it, although if you're 15 there probably is no need to do that. That's something that doesn't matter, but it is nice. Forgive me if that sounded creepy lol ]
they're queers. that the only way to put it. they are mentally challenged queers.
according to the weird people who answer their questions, guys like it.
but any normal human being at the ages of 1-17 shouldn't be worrying about that because a guy shouldn't see it anyways.
sadly, people seem to think nowdays that they're a loser if they haven't kissed/made-out with someone. who cares rather you have or haven't?!
thank God that we still have some normal people like you left on earth .. ]
