My mom is my best friend?

Question Posted Saturday January 6 2007, 11:08 pm

15/f

Hello, recently I have had major problems with my friends and I have really only been hanging out with my mom. We have fun and all, but is this healthy? She seems to be the only person I can count on who actually likes me for who I am.

Thanks! =)

I think it sounds great that you can talk with your mom. It's not like you hate kids your own age, right? Keep giving them a chance but don't worry if you don't get along with them.

A lot of 15 year olds have NO friends, not even their moms, teenage years are just horrid like that.

It's great that you can talk to your mom and hang out with her and enjoy it. I wish I could but I can't so enjoy it while it's there instead of blowing it off for friends you won't be able to count on. It's really hard to find a friend that is true ... we'd be lucky if we all had even one.

But secluding yourself too much from kids your own age could have so bad effects on you. So while spending time with your mom, still make time where you can hang out with people your own age.

That is completely healthy. My mom is like a friend. Sometimes i love her, sometimes i wanna slap the shit outta her, but overall, shes always there. Mom will always be there sweetie. And someone out there is dying to be your friend. So let them in, and things will be great.

I think its healthy. Havent you seen gilmore girls? lol. Having your mom as your best friend is alright. I think it's fabulous you have a great relationship with your mother. Most teenagers get tired of their parents after a while and all. However, it's alright. Your mom should be your best friend, they really are the people you can trust the most. =]
