Don't sleep in one, its dangerous.
3-7 days
every month
once you start getting on track
I have had mine for 5 years and still go six-eight monthes w/o having it and it sometimes lasts 2 days.
So it takes awhile to get on track and have it super regualry

2] You can wear one to bed I HIGHLY DO NOT RECCOMMEND IT. it can cause TSS if u leave it in too long.
3] Your period lasts about 3-7 days, and can last longer.
4] Once usually every 28 days, but since u just started it will be irregulary, you can have it once a month, twice a month, not at all a month. it jumps around.
Poison_Tears_IxI answered Thursday January 4 2007, 8:41 pm: you shouldnt leave a tampon in for more then a few hours. if it starts to bother you take it out emediately, you can get infections. no youu shouldnt wear one to bed because thats more then a few hours. you wear pads to bed its uncomfortable but right when you wake up you can put in a tampon. it usually last 3-5 days. sometimes more usually not much less. you probably will have very little or a lot concidering you just started. you get it every 28 days. at first you wont have it every 28 days. sometimes youll go longer and sometimes youll end up getting it sooner. once you have it for about a year things willl start to go normally and youll have it on a scedual.
ciao77 answered Thursday January 4 2007, 8:33 pm: It depends on how heavy your flow is, and on the absorbency of the tampon. You shouldn't leave a tampon in for more than a few hours (5-6 MAX.) at a time. Also, dont wear a tampon to bed...there's increased risk of TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome), and it's not useful at that time anyway. Try using long or over-night pads instead. And when you have a lighter flow (within 2 days or so), you can also alternate by using pads. I generally use tampons for the first 2-3 days, then use pads. Oh, your period should last around 5-7 days or so.
As a reminder, try using all natural, organic tampons (health food stores, or online). They are much safer, and do not use fake, synthetic ingredients. Natracare tampons work well. [ ciao77's advice column | Ask ciao77 A Question ]
HCOxBABE answered Thursday January 4 2007, 8:15 pm: You can only leave your tampon in for a few hours. If you leave it in for a long while, you can get TSS [ toxic shock syndrome ] & that's deffinately not good. I wouldn't wear one to bed, a pad would be better. Periods can last from 3-7 days. They occur every 28 days if you've had your period for over two years. If you've had it for less than two years, it can happen at anytime. [ HCOxBABE's advice column | Ask HCOxBABE A Question ]
marti answered Thursday January 4 2007, 8:14 pm: It is sometime around every month yes ranging anywhere from 3 days some even up to 9 and a tampon should be in for 4 to 6 hours about you want to leave it in long enough to absorb so it doesnt hurt coming out but you also dont want to leak or have TSS and it is not a good idea to sleep in thenm I would recommend wearing pads to bed [ marti's advice column | Ask marti A Question ]
