Ok..i play for a travel volleyball team and our first tournament is next weekend. Well..im the only new girl on the team..the rest of the players played last year and im really nervous that im gonna do bad in the game. I dont want the other girls to think im a bad player. How do i handle this?
xxlilreddivaxx answered Thursday December 28 2006, 2:24 pm: Practice...practice makes perfect. Also, relax. If you are tense, and think that you'll do bad, then most probably you will. So be confident and stay positive. Im sure you'll do fine!!! [ xxlilreddivaxx's advice column | Ask xxlilreddivaxx A Question ]

Of course you are going to be nervous, it is your first game. Joining the team and making it already put a good impression on the other girls, it means that you are good enough to play. Remember you are on their for a reason, to have fun and play the sport you love. Don't think about it as your first game, think of it as just a practice. Also, the girls with put into consideration that you are new to the team, so don't worry about them thinking you are a bad player. You can only get better.
