megxeliza answered Monday December 25 2006, 11:44 am: if it's completely dead and you want it to fully charge all the way, then it'll take about 4 hours. otherwise, it depends how much you need to charge it. it should never take more then 4 hours though. ♥ megan [ megxeliza's advice column | Ask megxeliza A Question ]
S_C answered Monday December 25 2006, 11:39 am: I know it says that take about 4 hours but that's only if it dies on you and you want to get it up to 100% charged. My battery picture usually turns red before I bother charging it (unless I'm adding music to it, then I let it charge while I do so). But it usually only takes mine about 3ish hours give or take. I've had my ipod for 2-3 months, but it had just come out when I got it. I only have a 2gb though, if you have a 4gb then it may take longer (I'm not sure). "Question: How long does it take to charge the battery?
Answer: Fully charging the battery takes about 4 hours. You can also fast-charge the battery to 80 percent capacity in 1 hour (2 hours for iPod (Click Wheel)). Charging the battery may take longer if you're using iPod as it charges."
You can probably find everything you EVER wanted to know about batteries for an iPod, any iPod, at this link here:
