Hey everyone! On Tuesday my whole grade is going to a theatre to see a Christmas Carol. We are supposed to dress nice because we are representing our school, except nobody actually told us how nice we are supposed to dress. So my question is, what type of clothes should I wear so I look nice if people dress up but I don't look too weird if people don't dress up. Thanks in advanced &hearts
SpreadLove answered Sunday November 19 2006, 8:08 pm: ok nice as in representation for a play would be like nice black dress pants, and a nice sweater, no jeans! and don't dress like a slob! lol you don't have to get all decked out! [ SpreadLove's advice column | Ask SpreadLove A Question ]
EBADVICEGIRL answered Sunday November 19 2006, 5:36 pm: thats an easy one! trust me, theatres my life and i know exactly how to dress for it. 1)you can never go wrong with skirts and tops. 2) theres no need to get ALL decked out unless you are going to a broadway show or something like that so save the fancy dresses for another occasion 3)to be diffrent..find a skirt and top thats a little funky and cute..if your cute then people rarley think twice about what your wearing. 4)be unique...you don't want to look like everyone else...aim to be the best dressed..people will admire you and you'll have a wondeful time at the show. oh! and pick something comfy..it sucks when you sit there cute but in pain! hope i could help! Igotamonopoly answered Sunday November 19 2006, 5:13 pm: In like 7th grade, when we went to a local theatre, most of the girls wore skirts.
I'd suggest maybe a denim skirt with a blazer and really cute shoes. Maybe a lacy top underneath the blazer?
Straight hair is always more elegant, so if your hair isn't naturally straight, then straighten it and maybe wear eyeliner and lip gloss. Leave your hair down or put it in a ponytail. Straight ponytails are so classy!!
Ask your teachers and friends what they're wearing so that you can get a ballpark idea of what you should look like.
dramaditz answered Sunday November 19 2006, 3:25 pm: if you wear black pants, you wont stand out to much either way.
and just wear a shirt with no logo-s on it but is the type of shirt you wudnt wear to like a wedding.
a solid shirt, or simple sweater would be fine. [ dramaditz's advice column | Ask dramaditz A Question ]

Volleyball2150 answered Sunday November 19 2006, 12:48 pm: Well the same thing happened last year... our class went to a theater. Everyone in our class dressed up with jeans and their normal clothes, and I thought I had to dress up nicely (sp?) but I didn't stand out. I wore black pants and just a nice top that I wouldn't normally wear to school. But still an everyday type of shirt. Try not to stand out too much by wearing jewelry, make-up or hair-do's. You can also wear black shoes if you want to.
karisue answered Sunday November 19 2006, 12:45 pm: usually when my school goes to a theatre i wear just like a nice shirt & dress pants.
no blue jeans.
no comfy t-shirts.
wear like black dress pants, brown dress pants & a nice shirt.
