this is just my opinion but isn't it more of a hastle just to have one song on a phone than just a ring? Honestly, all you're really going to do is pick up the phone, not jam on some song am i right? that's what i pods are for anyway.

I have the same phone by the sound of it!! They are a great little phone to use once you get the hang of it.

What you need to do is go to your menu -> settings -> connection -> USB Settings -> then change your 'default connection' to memory card. Connect your phone to your computer via the USB cable and use the simple drag and drop method to move your music to you phone. Once you've done that unattach your phone from your computer and go into the digital media player on your phone. From here you can sort your music by artist, genre, album etc. The easiest way to make a playlist is to do so by going to multimedia -> sounds -> new playlist (should be don the bottom of your songs). Now you can choose which songs to put into your playlist.

Hope that makes sence. If you have anymore questions feel free to drop a question in my inbox or send me an email, (my address is in my column) because I have the same phone and would be more than happy to halp you.

Have a good time listening to your music!
Good luck!

You actually need to buy a memory card to put in your phone... on its own, it doesn't have enough memory to store songs. So when they tell you there's a media player on it, it's a little misleading, because it isn't useable at first.

Bring your phone to an electronics store, and tell them you need a memory card to fit it.

ADDITION:

Yes, you do need a memory card, no matter how much memory your phone has on it. The phone cannot store music on the phone's built in memory card. That memory is reserved for phone functions.

Trust me on this, I have a Motorola phone too, and I've been through the same thing.

If you already have a memory card...
-Go to settings
-Connection
-USB Settings
-Set Default Connection to Memory Card, not
Data/Fax connection.

But this ONLY works if you have a memory card in your phone.

It's all in the manual.
