this might sound dumb but im not from the US so dont know what a freshman or somophore is...can anyone help me out!!?? do you have any other names also?
PunkieFreak4690 answered Thursday November 16 2006, 5:18 pm: A Freshman is the 9th grade, or their "ninth year" or school, thus the equivalent to someone's "tenth year" (like Britain) in other countries.
A Sophomore is the 10th grade, or their "tenth year" of school in the US, thus it's their "eleventh year" in other countries.
beenthere1 answered Thursday November 16 2006, 3:05 pm: A freshman can also be someone in the first year of their profession (for example, a freshman attorney is an attorney who has been practicing less than one year) and a sophomore is somone in their profession more than one year but less than two (a sophmore attorney has been practicing more than one but less than two years).
