periods include getting cramps nd bloating so just relax and yes you should exercise but not to extremes. an hour a day is fine. as to food, just cut back on junk and limit sodas to one a day. watch... you woll lose the 9 pounds like that *snap* ]
First off, do NOT go on this 'extreme diet'. You usually get bloate on your period, causing you to gain weight. This may go away in a few weeks. ]
YES my dear you do gain weight when you're on your period!! I gain like at least 4-5 pounds! But dont go on some stupid diet! Because you could end up just harming yourself!! Just relax it only lasts for a week!! lol **Haley** ]
If you want a true scale reading do it first thing in the morning before youve eaten anything and when your not on your period

You shouldn't go on an EXTREME diet because you gained 9 pounds. To do so would be stupid, and probably hurt you. ]
Dear Weight girl,
Whenever you are on your period, you gain a little extra weight. I know, It sucks. [TheJoysOfBeingAWoman] NOT!
Love, MD ]
It's just 9 little pounds. No big deal!
You gain water on your period.
Extreme diet might make you gain more weight.
You should continue eating whatever you eat. Some foods make you gain more weight.
And yeah
weigh yourself in the morning. that's your real weight.
don't weigh yourself at night. you weigh more at night then at morning.
don't weigh yourself every other day. you will just get upset over slight weight gains.. when it's perfectly normal. ]
Of course you are not pregnant... you are 14 and when you get older you get more broad. That doesnt mean that you are pregnant and hun... dont go on a diet, you dont wanna be anerxite just cut down on some food dont starve your self ]
9 pounds is nothing darling.
& plus your period adds water weight, which can range from 5lbs-20lbs.
i don't think you should freak out over something 'this' small.
129 is nothing to worry about, if you don't look fat, then those numbers don't mean a thing. ]
Don't be so concerned with how much you weigh. The number means nothing. It's how you look that matters. People don't go around with signs that say how much they weigh. All that is presented to others is the appearance of your body. If it doesn't look like you gained 9 pounds then what does it matter? Keep in mind that your weight can vary up to 5 pounds within a day and that yeah, menstruation can affect it even more. You'll probably go back to 120 after your period. 120 is a very healthy weight, so don't be so concerened with it. There's no need to weigh yourself every week. Just take a look in the mirror. I'm sure you look great! When you do weigh yourself, say once a month or so, do it in the morning after you've gone to the bathroom and before you eat anything. That will give you the most accurate measurement. ]
It's normal to gain weight dramatically when a girl is on her period because the body stores excess water and body fluid than normal so don't worry and don't go on an extreme diet.
Just eat healthy foods and exercise regulary and you really don't need to lose any weight. I assure you that you're wieght will go down to 120 again ]
