I AM LIKE FREAKING OUT RIGHT NOW! Last week I was 120 exactly, and all of the sudden I weighed myself and I am 129! I am on my period so I dont know if that affects anything, but I am about to go on an exteme diet. Does anyone know why this happened all of the sudden? 14/f, Im not pregnant or anything like that..
XkittyOkatX answered Wednesday November 15 2006, 4:19 pm: First off, do NOT go on this 'extreme diet'. You usually get bloate on your period, causing you to gain weight. This may go away in a few weeks. [ XkittyOkatX's advice column | Ask XkittyOkatX A Question ]

sillyrob answered Wednesday November 15 2006, 5:18 am: You shouldn't go on an EXTREME diet because you gained 9 pounds. To do so would be stupid, and probably hurt you. [ sillyrob's advice column | Ask sillyrob A Question ]

& plus your period adds water weight, which can range from 5lbs-20lbs.
i don't think you should freak out over something 'this' small.
sizzlinmandolin answered Tuesday November 14 2006, 10:13 pm: Don't be so concerned with how much you weigh. The number means nothing. It's how you look that matters. People don't go around with signs that say how much they weigh. All that is presented to others is the appearance of your body. If it doesn't look like you gained 9 pounds then what does it matter? Keep in mind that your weight can vary up to 5 pounds within a day and that yeah, menstruation can affect it even more. You'll probably go back to 120 after your period. 120 is a very healthy weight, so don't be so concerened with it. There's no need to weigh yourself every week. Just take a look in the mirror. I'm sure you look great! When you do weigh yourself, say once a month or so, do it in the morning after you've gone to the bathroom and before you eat anything. That will give you the most accurate measurement. [ sizzlinmandolin's advice column | Ask sizzlinmandolin A Question ]
ductape_n_roses answered Tuesday November 14 2006, 9:36 pm: It's normal to gain weight dramatically when a girl is on her period because the body stores excess water and body fluid than normal so don't worry and don't go on an extreme diet.
Just eat healthy foods and exercise regulary and you really don't need to lose any weight. I assure you that you're wieght will go down to 120 again [ ductape_n_roses's advice column | Ask ductape_n_roses A Question ]
