Is there an age where your periods just stop? Like forever? I'm not talking about irregular periods... i'm talking about if you're 70 years old, do you still get your period?

Hope this has helped. =D [ XkittyOkatX's advice column | Ask XkittyOkatX A Question ]

Women also stop getting periods after a hysterectomy (getting the uterus removed, with or without the ovaries) or oopherectomy (getting just the ovaries removed). Those are done if there are problems that require removal, like cancer. [ blwinteler's advice column | Ask blwinteler A Question ]

MelLeDisko answered Tuesday October 31 2006, 8:19 pm: Yes, it does stop at some point. It usually stops for women around some time after they turn 40, but my mother's around 48 and she still has hers, so it can differ from woman to woman. But it's called menopause.
