i have sorta bad acne on my forhead and what not i use proactive, some morning burst stuff, and another face wash but its not really working is there anything thats gunna work really really well ??
XkittyOkatX answered Thursday October 19 2006, 3:20 pm: Be careful about what you use, especially when using two or more products at once. It never works to load up on creams/cleansers/ect. This could dry out your face.
I'd just try to reccomend to ask your mom to take you to the dermatologist, or get your school nurse to talk to your parents about some doctors you could see for it.
Seeing a specified doctor in the area will most likely help, just because he will know how sensitive your skin is to products, and what medications would be good for you.
imagine2006 answered Thursday October 19 2006, 12:09 am: The morning burst is good to use everyday because it brings out the pimples (that's the only part that sucks) but then kills the bacteria. Don't use facial scrubs everyday because it tears up your skin and can make your skin even more acne prone. Also make sure when you touch your face that your hands are clean, and also don't pick at the acne because if you pick in one spot then another, the bacteria spreads. There are medications out there and if you're looking for one make sure it contains benzoyl peroxide. Rubbing lemon on your face throughout the day can also help. Make sure to apply a good mosturizer to your face after washing and be sure to rinse with cold water (this closes the pores).
god-smusgrove answered Wednesday October 18 2006, 10:12 pm: use just proactive in the morning and night as directed. because by using all that other stuff, and washing your face causes your skin to dry out abnormally, meaning that it starts to flake and those flakes get into pores which give you...more acne. so use just pro active day and night as directed..ps every1 i no who uses it, finds it to be a miracle worker. queenhearts answered Wednesday October 18 2006, 9:58 pm: You should only stick to proactive. Multiple products dry or irritate the skin.
It takes at least a month to see proactive's full affect. Always continue using it, if you face is 90% clear.
If there's no change in at least a month then try something else.
ductape_n_roses answered Wednesday October 18 2006, 9:44 pm: Hm, I'm sorry but I'll have to disagree with those guys below there.
Not all products work on everyone and almost all the perscriptions the dermotologists give you, proactive, products they sell at stores
They never work. They take away moisture, make your skin red and blotchy and irritated and dry.
Try food. I'm serious. Cut down on greasy foods like fries. Start eating organic HEALTHY foods. Water is always a plus. Lay off sodas and junk food of such type.
Also, do not ever use lemon juice or anything with acid in it & apply it to your face. You'll just get burned really bad.
Use Cetaphil morning and night. And everynight, make green tea (water and tea only. No sugar or anything--preferrably organic) put it in the fridge and make it cold. Splash it onto ur face after u've washed your face every night and you should see results in no time. =D [ ductape_n_roses's advice column | Ask ductape_n_roses A Question ]
xo_underneath answered Wednesday October 18 2006, 4:40 pm: Go to a doctor or dermatologist and see if you can get a prescription for this stuff called Evoclin. My doctor prescribed it to me about a year ago, and it works really good. [ xo_underneath's advice column | Ask xo_underneath A Question ]
sizzlinmandolin answered Wednesday October 18 2006, 4:36 pm: You're going to have to get a perscription for anything that's going to work really well. Don't let that discourage you though. You can get one very easily from a Dermatologist (skin doctor). I had moderate acne and my aunt convinced me to see a Dermatologist. The cream he perscribed wiped my acne completely away in 2 days. I was very surprised and happy. It's really worth the visit. The appointment takes less than a half hour. Good luck! :) [ sizzlinmandolin's advice column | Ask sizzlinmandolin A Question ]
Bergy413 answered Wednesday October 18 2006, 4:32 pm: Well, it all depends on your skin. I used to use proactive, and it didn't really work for me. Then i switched to Cephahil and that worked ok, and then finally i switched to Clean & Clear and it works extremely well. I guess you just have to keep trying different products until you can find something that works will your skin.
