ok im 13/f and i really want to have sex and like its like i really need it. its weird cause i like get these erges to do it. is this normal for a 13 year old?
blwinteler answered Sunday August 27 2006, 11:26 pm: Yes, it is normal to desire sex at this age. Your body is starting to produce hormones and trying to figure out what to do with them. Eventually, not that long really, your body's chemicals will even out. Then, the urges won't be as strong. They will still be there, of course, because that is how nature makes sure we continue to exist, but they will not feel so strange or urgent.
Now, I had sex at 16. I do not regret it. Between then and age 20, I had a lot of sex with a lot of men. I don't regret that either. But that is my experience. Everyone is different. I am sharing it just to give a different point of view. Just because I don't have regrets, doesn't mean others won't. I was also 3 years older than you are, and that short time can make a difference.
Sure, you can satisfy those urges now by having sex, but I will tell you honestly that sex with someone you love is so much better. I loved the man I lost my virginity to. Still do. In fact, I married him.
Everyone else who has answered you is also right. You need to consider what it would be like to be a mother at 13, or to get an std. Some are treatable, but many aren't. My own mother had a child at 13. While she loves my sister, she had to grow up too fast. She missed a lot of her childhood, including all of high school.
I think you should wait for the right person. Only you will know when that person comes around and only you will know when you are actually ready. But you are not really ready unless you both are aware of the consequences and willing (and able) to accept them.
In the meantime, masturbation is acceptable and will help calm the urges. And, like I said, they will lessen over time. [ blwinteler's advice column | Ask blwinteler A Question ]
aquababe1 answered Sunday August 27 2006, 10:18 pm: yea thats definitely normal. obviously, like all the people underneath me said, dont do it. you'll regret it later and your body isnt even done growing so if you have sex you'll totally screw up your body, and also, duh, std's and pregnancy wouldnt exactly be fun either. if you feel like you really need it then.....just masturbate. i'm not saying my opinion on that subject...but if you want sex that bad then just do that so you get the effects without having the risks. MelLeDisko answered Sunday August 27 2006, 10:08 pm: Yeah, whenever we become teenagers, our bodies grow, we want to experience things, and experiment, we get moody, we have hormones. It's completley normal for you to have these urges, but I seriously suggest not to act upon these urges. 13 is far too young to be having sex, in my opinion. You should wait for someone you love and you'll know'll be with you. Not just some guy who wants it and it's over in like, two seconds and you don't love them. So just.. haha, FIGHT THE TEMPATIONS. And even if you still are thinking about it, just think. Even though you were to use protection, protection doesn't always protect you. And how would you feel being 13 with a bun in the oven? Ha, I don't think you'd like it. I hope I helped. <3 [ MelLeDisko's advice column | Ask MelLeDisko A Question ]
xcheerbabex108 answered Sunday August 27 2006, 10:01 pm: Of course it's normal. BUT, as everyone else said, and I agree, although you have urges* to have sex, don't have it. When you're older, there's a big chance that you will regret it. And yes, guys will pressure you, but if you give in, what will you have to look forward to? At least wait until you're older.
caramella answered Sunday August 27 2006, 9:54 pm: Hi.Ok listen to what im about to say here.Youre 13 and you have a lot of years ahead of you and think about it,if you have sex now, will it be that pleasing when youre married later on?Ok ask yourself this,if you have sex when your thirteen now,how many times will you have done it by the time you are married?Because once you start doing this, you wont be able to stop,it will become an addiction and by the time you are married you will have had a bad reputation,Std's and you might even get pregnant! What if you get pregnant with your boyfreind and he breaks up with you and leaves YOU alone with the child with noone to support it financially?Who ever does it at this age usually end up regreting it badly. To be a child with a child is not good because you both need mothers and you wont be able to be one because your still a child.Masturbate if you want. Its better than having sex and getting stds.Even protection isnt that safe, condoms break alot and the girl ends up pregnant.Think about what youre about to do twice and think mostly about the consenquences. For every action there is an equal reaction but the reaction in this case might be too big for you to take so take care.If you need more help, feel free to contact me,i would love to help. :D [ caramella's advice column | Ask caramella A Question ]

OneSweetBlond3 answered Sunday August 27 2006, 9:19 pm: Yes, it`s normal. Just hormones. But I wouldn`t reccomend you having "it" until you know all the consequences. So please, dont.
xomegaroni answered Sunday August 27 2006, 9:16 pm: it's just hormones. since you're 13, you're just going through puberty. don't do anything stupid with it though. they'll pass & what not. just learn how to keep your mind off of it.
