I am overweight by about 40-50 pounds. Up until 2 days ago, I could take out a 2 liter of soda like it wasnt nothing. I've started drink water (for the first time in ages) and am trying to kick the soda habit. My back hurts constantly, to the point where it consumes all my thoughts. I need help. I'm also a 38DDD cup size. Someone tell me what to do I cant take this back pain ANYMORE! I also smoke. Yea I know I'm destroying myself! Right now I'm willing to do anything. I'd rather not quit smoking right now though because I suspect I need to lose the weight and stuff and I can't kick everything at once! I rate!!
Additional info, added Thursday August 10 2006, 4:00 am: I don't eat but once a day- so telling me to cut back on food is pointless! My hubby tells me all the time I need to eat or Ima' starve and I'm like, Do I really look like I'm in any danger of starving!!. Want to answer more questions in the Health & Fitness category? Tulipg17 answered Thursday August 10 2006, 12:08 pm: You need to eat 5 or 6 small, healthy and low fat mini meals each day to keep your metabolism at it's highest (this will cause you to loose weight, believe it or not). You back almost certainly hurts because of your large breasts...outside of dramatic and expensive surgery there are two things you can do about that. 1) loose weight, your breast size will naturally decrease and be more managable for your body and 2) exercise. This will obvious help with the weight loss and also strengthen your back muscles to withstand the weight of your breasts. You are doing wonderful by kicking the soda habit by the way. hottie411 answered Thursday August 10 2006, 11:50 am: first, you should start eating three times a day, but eat all of your meals healthy. and just eat the same amount that everyone else is eating, so you'll still be a little hungry, but at least you ate, and you ate healthy meals. also, go to the gym and workout, and do pushups and crunches and lunges at home. and cut down on the soda. if you really want to drink it that much, then just drink like a glass every other day. if you keep drinking that much soda, then you'll get diabetes. if your back still hurts, then go to the doctor and tell him that it's been hurting ever since you've tried to lose weight. and about the smoking, i get that you don't want to do everything at once, so just cut down on it a little, and smoke less than you usually do. then once your back stops hurting, then try to quit smoking. it'll be hard, but just keep reminding yourself that if you keep smoking you can get lung cancer and die, and even if you don't get lung cancer, you'll die at an earlier age than if you didn't smoke. losing weight takes time, so just keep trying everyday, and you'll lose weight eventually.
isis answered Thursday August 10 2006, 11:27 am: It's great that you've taken the first step by cutting down on soda and drinking water instead.
Further things you can do to help is to eat 6 small well balanced meals a day instead of one. Your body will then stop the primeval instinct of storing fat, as one meal a day makes it think there is a famine, it will also increase your metabolism. Try not to lose weight too quickly as the faster it comes off the more likely you are to put it back on again. Try to eat 5 portions of fruit and veg a day, cut back on fatty food and carbs, if you feel hungry, snack on low fat/low cal things or carrot or celery sticks. Try swimming for exercise as this will support your back, just be careful what strokes you use. You will need to be very careful what exercise you do, your doctor will be able to advise you further on this.
You do need to see your doctor about your back pain, as it is entirely possible that unless you have hurt it, it is heavy breasts causing the pain. You may be able to get a breast reduction if they are affecting your health and well being. With weight loss, they should shrink a little but probably not enough to make you feel much more comfortable. Have you got a decent supportive bra? These can help with back pain caused by large breasts but they won't solve the whole problem.
I'm not surprised you're smoking with all this going on, and whilst I am not a fan of smoking, I'm inclined to agree that trying to give this up as well as dealing with everything else may be a little too much at the moment.
Once you have the diet under control and you have seen the doctor about your back, you could try some of the many options available that help you over this final hurdle. These range from hypnotherapy and acupuncture to over the counter aids like patches and gum.
I hope this helps and wish you the best of luck. [ isis's advice column | Ask isis A Question ]
DancinCutie08 answered Thursday August 10 2006, 10:00 am: well stopping the smoking first would help you loose weight beause its harder to exercise when you are smoking because it really damages your lungs
also eating 1 meal a day makes alot of people gain weight.. eating 3 smaller meals a day is much better for you because it jump starts your matobolism and gives your body more timet o digest the food.. thats why they say breakfast is the most important meal of the day
Maybe you could consider a breast reduction? that is the only way to help your prombelm. In the meanwhile i would invest in a few good sports bras to wear at one time to give you some good support while doing simple exercises like walking or aerobics
LiVEYOURLiFE answered Thursday August 10 2006, 8:51 am: Eat lots of fruits. Berries are excellent. Grapes, bananas, & pineapples have too much sugar, so try & stay away from them. Broccoli is also low in sugar, & boosts energy big time. Also, excersise for an hour a day, at least three times a week. Cardio is amazing. Bestfriendswithimforever answered Thursday August 10 2006, 7:29 am: Yeah sweetie, its ok, being overweight is not your biggest concern right now tho, you need to go to a doctor and check that out..honestly its not uncommon for someone with your breast size to have back problems, but going malnrished isnt helping. If your trying to loose the weight not eating isnt helping. I dont know if you realize this but, when u stop eating consistently, and healthily, your body thinks its starving..therefore, it will be harder to loose the weight because your body will try with all its might to hold on to ALL the weight you already have, for fear your body will shut down....so in conclusion, you really should stop smokin because on top of ure weight issues, back/breast issues, you might will gain lung issues, go to a doctor and rell him ALL your concerns...please take care of your body, and take the cliche' into mind : your too young to die...k! Hope I helped lots [ Bestfriendswithimforever's advice column | Ask Bestfriendswithimforever A Question ]
lxYiPPi answered Thursday August 10 2006, 7:14 am: Ok , First thing to do is stop drinking so much soda [ yes it will be hard probably, but force yourself ]. Having a couple sodas [ like 2 a week ] is ok but mostly drink healthy stuff. I personally like crystal light, it's low on sugar & better then sodas. I drink apple juice too.
& 2nd , believe it or not , not eating makes you get bigger. Because of your metabilism. So just think about it , you not eating is making you gain weight. Just a simple thing to do is eat && eat healthy.
Some healthy stuff i recommend : fruit [bananas,apples,peaches,pares,watermelon &such.]
Veggies [ celery,corn,green beans,peas, [salads ], to me a tomato is a veggie but w/e.
Some not so healthy food :
Now believe it or not whole white bread is not good for you, i would be wheat and if you don't like that then i think they have breads that have wheat in them but dont taste like it. White bread surely doesnt make you loose weight remember that.
you should stay away from greasy foods , your probably one of those people that go to mcdonald's && if so i don't blame you i go there to. But every time i go there i force my self to get chicken nuggets. The burgers there might taste good, but it's extremly bad for your health. Those type of fast food places have so much grease in their foods, i got a cheese burger from mcdonalds and grease was literaly pouring off the burger, gross , i know! Those kinda places are addicting but sometimes when i think of going to them , i pick arbys , or just get a salad at one of those places. Also i don't know if you read, but if you ever get the chance check out a library or something to get the book " chew on this" once you read this book you will think totally diffrent about mcdonalds and other fast food joint's.
Also , working out is good. I do situps and it's helping me alot. Not being active , doesnt make you loose weight. :/
#1 rule don't give in to your craving's.
i'm not sure if this is the best advise but my mom is always pressuring me about eating better, & she drives me crazy. I'm fat too. i'm 15 and weigh 127 . I don't look fat and i wear a 36c but still i dont know. hope i help'd.
