ballet flats

Question Posted Wednesday August 2 2006, 11:08 am

okay i love the way flats look but they always cut the backs of my ankles, does anyone know how i can get them to stop doing that without socks cause i like to wear them with like capris and skirts and stuff and socks wont look right and nylons are a pain the the butt and if i put in the backing things then my foot feels squished. should I just use band aids? thanks in advamce.

there are some types of bandaids that you can buy that are like cloth, and that way they are more comfortable. you can get them to be your skin color so that you dont even notice them at all. (they are about 1 inch by 2 inches, i guess like the size of an altoids box lol i dunno)

I usually use band aids, but they end up falling off. Try 2 on each heel, just in case one falls off.

they're either not broken in yet or just low-quality. if they're not broken in yet then wear them around the house for 3 days with wool socks on. they'll stretch out accordingly. if they're made of canvas you can also soak them (and your feet) in water then walk around outside until they dry. they'll be molded to your feet.

you could try band aids. but they may not stay on. they should brake in soon and be more comfertable and hopefully not cut you. otherwise band aids are a good idea! i hope i helped you!

you can try band aids, but mine usually stop cutting after I've worn them once or twice.

A fast way to break them in though, is wear them like a slide- basically crush the back with your heel, for a little while around the house, it makes them a little looser. It can also wreck your shoes though.

hey, well ballet flats are suppose to be sort of tight fitting. so you know those things that you have to use to try on shoes if you dont have any socks on? there sort fo like nylons but there only for your feet. take some of those from a store that sells shoes lol. also bandaids will work too.

I think you need to get like a looser fitting pair of flats. i usually get a half size up and i don't get cuts. it could just be that or if they're new, you have broken them in yet (that happens with a lot of shoes i.e tap shoes) so for now just use band aides. <3
