you really dont have to be worried. Yea your first few days will be hard but itll get better. Stick to your group of friends and you should be just fine.

High School is the four most important years of your life. It can and will form your future. People below said you dont have to take it seriously and your freshman year is a year to slack off.

If you slack off there will be consequnces(sp?). Such as summer school or even another freshman year in highschool. And its not fun.

But you should always make highschool fun also.

Have fun:)

don't worry about going to high school whatsoever. i'm a junior and i when i was a freshman i was nervous about it, but truly the freshman year is the best year. you can totally fuck arond. don't do bad in school or anything, but you don't have to take it all that seriously. you'll meet a lot of new people and make a lot of new friends. just be nice to everyone and have fun.

No need to panic. I'm a senior in High-school. As long as you stick with ur friends you will be fine. But trust me don't harass the seniors. Depending on the actual senior you may end up with some hurt feeling. But most of my friends are nice and we actually like helping out the freshman.

You have to remember what it was like going into middle school.
Then realize how after a while it was nothing.
Everyone around you is in the same situation
You have to be the one that can hold their cool and their head high.
It's rly nothing.

Don't forget to capitalize and use question marks ^_^.
There. I just raised your GPA!

Good luck.

This is for all you kiddies without older siblings.

High School.
If you haven’t been through high school, or don’t know someone who’s been through high school recently, here you go.

Early start-
If your school offers Spanish in the seventh and eighth grades to get ‘half credits,’ don’t fall for it. It’s bullshit. You’ll waste two years when you could have spent one earning a credit.

AP classes-
Same goes for AP (Advanced Placement) courses. They’re a good way to save money, but other than that, they are bullshit as well. You’ll spend 2 years earning one credit. Once you get in college, you’ll have credits flying left and right and realize you wasted your time with AP classes.
Many colleges don’t even except AP classes.

Language-
Learn to speak Mexican or German. Latin is hard, even for the smart kids. French is harder than Spanish and you won’t get to use it as much. Hell, Mexicans are invading us as I type. They are refusing to bother to learn our language and expecting us to use our tax money to translate and print out pamphlets in Mexican so they can understand it.

Skip a year for language-
Don’t take your language class during your freshman year unless you plan on taking it for four years. You’ll probably only need two years of foreign language to graduate, but three are recommended. Take Spanish on your second, third and fourth year. This way, you won’t have a year to forget everything before college starts.

Alternatives to PE-
See if you can work with special kids instead. That’s what I did, and I adored them. They are freakin’ awesome. If I saw anybody picking on them I would kick their ass.
See if outdoor-ed is offered for PE credits.
/Running sucks. Avoid it at all costs.

Style

Friends and Girls

Once a cheater always a cheater. If a girl cheated on someone, she will cheat on you. If she cheats on you, dump her and never give her another chance.
-
If you have an annoying person in your lunch group, realise that he continues to be annoying because you aren't treating him like a friend (because he isn't) and realise he's trying to get back at you for not treating him like a friend. I know it's just a repetitive cycle, but that's what's happening. Neither the annoying one or the group realises it's happening.
-
Girls are a lot of fun.
-
Girls can and will ruin best friendships.
-
Girls can and will break up the lunch group.
-
Girls are emotional. They also cry with they're angry sometimes. This baffles me.
-
One of your friends will likely end up being a homosexual. This just happened to me. Even my most anti-gay friends admitted that they believe everyone is born bisexual, and you choose to be straight. Incourage them not to flaunt their gayness.

Drugs-
If you find out some random person smokes weed, don’t tell on them. As you get older, almost everybody will be talking about drugs right in front of the teachers. The teachers can’t do anything about it and everyone hates the person who tells.
-
If you hang out with people who do drugs, you’ll do them too. I can’t stress this enough. Don’t ever think you’re too good to do them. You’d be surprised. Trust me. I’ve seen too many momma’s boys and goodie goodies fall into the trap. I've been curious myself, but have not done anything.
-
If your friend starts smoking weed, he’ll try to get another friend to smoke with him.
-
Smoking in itself is not very bad, but weed is a gateway drug. I’ve heard many many people who smoke weed say that they will never try harder drugs. Gradually, throughout the year, they end up trying ecstasy or mushrooms.

Homework-
You probably won’t finish it all. Try your best and don’t sweat it. Learn which teachers you can BS answers on.
-
During the final span of your final year in High School, you'll probably start slacking. Don't worry about it.
