Am I Sick?

Question Posted Saturday July 29 2006, 6:32 pm

I've been having this horrible pain, about 5 inches to the right of my belly button. It'll come for about 30 seconds, then go away. But it`ll hurt so bad it forces me to sit down.
(its not period cramps, it hurts much worse, and its totally different, plus I had mine last week)

And now, I feel faint, really hott, and super dizzy. When I was at the movies I was nauses (sp?)
What could be wrong? Please help, I feel horrible!

i am pretty sure it's your appendix. get it checked out, right away. if it's appendicitis, it will expand until it bursts. your appendix is full of toxins, and if your appendix bursts those toxins will be released through your body...and it will kill you. this all takes time, so don't freak out, but definitely get it checked out right away. go to your doctor or your local emergency room...now!
good luck

Did you eat anything like a popcorn seed? or an eggshell? If yes, I think its your appendix. Heres a website for more information: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
If its not your appendix, i suggest go seeing a doctor! I hope I helped!

I'm pretty sure those are the signs of appendicitis, I would definitely go see a doctor and tell your parents about it, don't wait too long. Also, you'll know it's appendicitis if you're screaming in pain, but if it's not a very sharp pain, then it might be something else. Good luck, hope you feel better.

well one thing i know is that it isn't your appendix, its a little lower and appendisites takes place in 24 hours. i think that if it keeps hurting you should tell your parents and go see a doctor to make sure it isn't anything serious.

hope i was helpful:)

I would call your doctor and tell them your symptoms. Usually you can talk to the nurse and she will let you know if it's bad enough for you to go to the ER, or if you should make an appointment, or maybe she can tell you some things that might make you feel better. I know when I had problems with my gallbladder the pain was so bad I couldn't bear it. I would cry sometimes, and I am usually pretty good with pain.. so I would call the doctor as soon as possible to find out. I hope you get to feeling better!

Let your mom know about it. It could be your appendix. Not saying it is, just don't get sick and not tell her. :)

Just to prove those with no medical knowledge wrong here are the symptoms of appendicitis.

Symptoms:

· Generalized abdominal cramps. Pain usually begins near the navel and moves down to the lower right. The pain becomes worse when the person moves or touches the area.

· Nausea or vomiting.

· Elevated temperature.

· Increased pulse rate.

· Loss of appetite.

· Constipation.

· Abdominal swelling.

In appendicitis these symptoms tend to become more severe as time passes. Not everyone with appendicitis has all the symptoms. Never should a laxative or enema be taken if you suspect appendicitis. These medications can cause the appendix to rupture.
