MARISSAX33 answered Saturday July 29 2006, 3:50 pm: I had the same problem. I really wanted to go swimming but I was scared to death to put one in. It says on the instructions that it's very difficult to put it in if you're not relaxed. So RELAX it doesn't hurt. If you put it in the wrong spot and push it might but you have to get it in the right spot. Usually people spread their legs on the toilet to insert it. When you push it in the right spot it shoould just slide in. If you change tampons too much it starts to hurt your vagina so don't wear them day after day after day. But you DO need to change them because there are diseases you can get if you dont change them. Hope I helped :)
StarryNightSkies answered Saturday July 29 2006, 3:14 pm: When its in me i only feel a little pressure but it goes away really soon believe me i was scared too but i had a pool party to go to and i didn't wanna miss out because of my period so i just stuck it in and got used to it. I use a brand that is a slim fit.... called playtex gentle glides the regulars should fit very well.
BrunetteBeauti answered Saturday July 29 2006, 10:33 am: okay well it seems like you have the exact same problem i had..well if you're tense dont even bother trying to put it in because it wont go up. dont be scared just slowly push it up and trust me it wont hurt that much, surprisingly. when you put it in you can feel it for a while but then you cant feel it at all and its very very very comfortable. if you have a heavy flow i suggest dont use tampons that day because you will have to keep changing it and once my tampon overflowed in school and lets just say it was nottt pretty. well good luck. Laf16 answered Saturday July 29 2006, 10:21 am: idk what the last girl is talking about.... i put one in the first time i had mine... yeah at first it was a little hard... but just read the back of the box a couple times, and take a deep breath.... you will probably feel it going in the first couple times, and when you take it out, but while its in there you might feel it a little when you first put one in, but i think its because of mentaly.... like you know its in there, and you feel weird it is because its new to you so you notice it... but that only last like the first couple times you use one...... i convinced one of my friends to just use one, and she is sooo glad i did..... dont worry.... trust me you will get sooooo used to it that you wont ever use pads again.............. i would get tampax pearl they are the easiest.... angel3102 answered Saturday July 29 2006, 2:03 am: Well, if you properly insert a tampon then you are not supposed to feel it at all. not even to know it's there. For the first time user I suggest using tampax gentle glids. They are the easiest to insert with hardly any feeling of entry and they expand and sit right to be comfortable. Also they will enter even if your a bit tense. But when you are putting it in the first few times take a deep breath thru your mouth and slowly exhale as you insert this should help you relax some but again it should never hurt or they are to large you'll need smaller ones and you should not feel them.
