I wear lots of designer clothes (American Rag, YMI, Ralph Lauren) and my secret is, I buy it all from stores like TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Ross, and thrift stores =]

Also, I like to showcase one special designer piece and downplay it with other cute accessories. For example, were a super cute pair of jeans with a shirt and an adorable belt with coordinating earrings and necklaces.

Try stores like Charlotte Russe, RUE 21, Forever 21, 5-7-9, they all have very cute clothes for very affordable prices :)

You don't need designer clothes to look good. Infact, all those Hollister & Abercrombie labels make people look tacky & show that they have no sense of individuality or creativity. Go the mall, go to a few stores you like, & put something together no one else has. Head for clearance & be creative. :)

Here is my master minded idea for designer clothes. Go to Goody's and shop on the clearance rack. They have absolutely adorable clothes that look just like A&F, AE, HCO, ect. Also Magic Mart actually has designer clothes! I thought that was illegal, but guess not. I bought a hollister shirt there for only 10 dollars!! I was amazed. Garage sales usually have designer brands to for really cheap. I have a rich cousin that wears nothing but designer labels, and I get all her hand-me downs. GO ME :)

What do you consider designer? Hollister is pretty high-class for me. If you want imitations of stuff like that, Old Navy is a cool place to go. You can get the exact same stuff (no joke) for 30 bucks less. Their tops and skirts are cute, but be careful about their jeans, you have to try every pair on b/c the sizes can be messed up. Oh yeah... boys stuff is kinda messed up too, so don't recommend it to any boys. :P

you should try TJ Maxx if you have one of those near you. they have the best stuff there! some of it is even designer! i was just there today and i saw some abercrombie and fitch shirts on sale for $3, $5, and $7! They also have Juicy Couture stuff there. they also have really cute designer purses. like a regular coach purse might me $138 but you can get them there for like $68. Also, try Lohemann's if you have one of those. they have reallyy cute designer clothes that you pay for way less.
good luck & hope i helped!

Charlotte Russe has a lot of designer-like clothing. They were like, one of the first stores to have bermudas when they came out, and ballet flats. They have lots of sophisticated looking jewelry. Look in the Clearance/Sale section to find cheaper items if you're not willing to pay the original prices.

Hope I helped!

sassysara answered Monday July 17 2006, 8:06 pm:
I am not sure where you live, but in most big cities there are consignment shops where rich people take their clothes to sell. You can often find really good deals on designer clothes. Often some stuff is really expensive but you can get deals. Also check out second hand stores, I have found stuff like a chanel business suit for $15.00! Also keep in mind that many designer clothes are in like size 2-4 which I KNOW would never fit ME!! So keep an open mind as if you are bigger then a size 4.

Hope this helps.

Marshalls {outlet}, Charlotte Russe, Papaya, & Kohls. Their pretty cheap in comparision to the other brands and really cute esp. Charlottle Russe! You could always ask for the name brand stuff for birthday presents and watch out for sales. Good Luck!
