DancinCutie08 answered Tuesday July 11 2006, 8:38 pm: it really depends on the person. for most people its 1500-2500
ive been told anything lower than 1500 is extremely unhealthy unless your really tiny i guess because you are basically starving your body and it doesnt help with weight loss it just puts you in less shape
CavieOwnsU2 answered Tuesday July 11 2006, 7:38 pm: Most people do a 2,000 calories per day diet. However, the correct answer is the same amount you burn, you should take in (meaining if you burn 2,000...you should take in 2,000) To loose weight, burn more and take in less...to gain weight, burn less and take in more. However, when you think of burning calories, it is so much more than just excercise. Right now, I am burning calories by typing, thinking, and even just breathing. AS I am unsure of the exact amount of calories different activities burn, I would google it or talk to a health care professional. [ CavieOwnsU2's advice column | Ask CavieOwnsU2 A Question ]

Check out this website and fill in the "My Pyramid Plan", it will give you an idea of how many calories are accurate depending on those factors along with how much of certain foods you should eat a day: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
