To gain weight, you need to take in more, and to loose weight, you need to take in less. Using the basic figure of 5' is 100 pounds, and every inch after that is another 5 pounds, you should be at a pretty good weight so if at all possible, try to count the amount of calories you brun in an average day. While that is nearly impossible. you can make an estimated guess. Next try to match that number in the amount of calories you eat per day. FOr more detailed help, I would go see your doctor or a nutrionist. [ CavieOwnsU2's advice column | Ask CavieOwnsU2 A Question ]

There Really isnt a way to find out how many calories you need with out asking a professional.
The goal is to keep your metabolism going all day long so it burns calories and stuff like that. So Really, you should eat about 6 meals a day (heathly meals) with lots of water. That's what I do and I've stayed around 100 pounds, only I'm like, 4inches shorter than you lol(and two years older..)
Just eat all day, in moderation of course, and drink water, exercise and what not and you should be fine<3 [ CallingItQuits's advice column | Ask CallingItQuits A Question ]
HectorJr answered Friday July 7 2006, 9:49 am: My best advice would be to consult your doctor about this. Yeah that means making a call or making an appointment, but I will tell you why.
Your body is still growing. Active or not, you will need those calories, and for teenagers it is usually more than 2000 a day. Could be less for you, could be more. That is why you should consult your doctor. While nutritionists say 2000 calories is a normal diet, that means normal to the average person. The average person has stopped growing, and therefore does not need as much.
Just to prove a point: athletes in the Navy are given 5000+ calories of food a day. Those not on sports get close to 3000. So yes it does depend on how active you are. Hope that helped, and you should really ask your doctor to get the right amount. What may be good for somebody else might not be good for you. [ HectorJr's advice column | Ask HectorJr A Question ]
Teza answered Friday July 7 2006, 2:10 am: Health books and nutrition books say about 2,000 calories a day for girls. If you're active with sports and other activities, have a bit more. As long as you get 3 full meals in, eat veggies and fruits, your straches & everything you'll be fine. [ Teza's advice column | Ask Teza A Question ]
