A good "goodbye" song Hey.
I am leaving all my friends next year. So I made a slideshow of like 100 pictures--- it takes about 5 minutes to go completely through. And so I was wondering, does anyone know any songs like that? Like leaving friends behind or something.
I'm more into 60s, 70s, 80s rock. But anythings good. Thanks!!!

I personally love "Good Riddance" from Green Day (also called Time Of Your Life).
Another personal favorite is "Here's To the Night" by Eve 6. It was my 8th grade's calls unofficial graduation song =]

I'm leaving on a jet plane is a good one. a bunch of people remade it, so i'm not sure who sings it. you look them up online and see which one you like best.

ok i would say "going to california" or "babe i'm gonna leave you" by led zeppelin. there are several others by them so check it out.
goodbye to you by michelle branch is good too.

Try "Miss You When You're Gone" by the Cranberries. I know thats not the real title of the song, but if you search it with those words it'll pull up. Good tear jerker, if thats what you're looking for. ]
At my graduation they played that song by green day. hehe im not ure of the name but its like "i hope you had a woderful life" hah i hope that helped
sorry i didnt knwo the name :) ]
The Graduation song by Vitamin C is almost so overplayed that it is expected. It was my 8th grade song and still got all of us close to tears although it is over played. To look back on memories, I suggest "Young" by Kenny Chesney. (played on the way back to my friends house, we all belted it out, and made it our song). Also, "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)" by Green Day and "our Lives" by The Calling.
Sorry, I don't really know about 60s, 70s, or 80s rock songs! ]
the song "graduation" by vitamin C always works for stuff like that. i know that artist's kinda lame and the song's a little dated, but at the end of every school year my friends and i sing that song and it kind of makes it special. ]
Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve just has that vibe, and everyone knows the tune.
Closing Time, by Semisonic.
The World At Large, by Modest Mouse
Over the Hills and Far Away, Led Zeppelin. or the Rain Song for that matter.
Round Here, Counting Crows
Carry On, Crosby Stills Nash and Young. Although, you'd have to use the studio cut and anyone who knows anything knows that's not the real version of the song. ]
I would suggest "Graduation" by Vitamin-C. It's cliche, but it's so perfect. It makes me smile everytime I hear it as I reflect on old memories.
hope this helps- :) ]
