MelpomeneMuse answered Saturday July 1 2006, 1:10 pm: My sister's 17 and her room is a jungle theme(animal print blankets and pillows, brown walls with a wallpaper border that has leopards on it, etc.)
My room is an Oriental theme(red walls, pretty Asian fans, vintage silkscreens and prints of asian-themed paintings).
Another idea is music, but don't use a band as a theme, because you don't know if you'll stop liking them. But if you play an instrument, for example drums, you could put cool drumsticks up on the walls, or if you have old cymbals that you don't use anymore, you can put those up on the wall, etc. Decorate with musical notes, frame old sheet music, if you can find any little musical instruments such as harmonicas, ukeleles, or anything else, at garage sales and thrift stores. You could also put up posters of your favorite bands.

xostarbrightbaby answered Friday June 30 2006, 6:19 pm: You can go with something like:
- Jungle look - get stuffed animals of animals i the jungle and pictures. Paint your walls different colors of shades. That`s what i`m doing for my room. =)
- Colorful- maybe one wall blue, another green, or pink.
- Grown-up - get a comforter set. Paint your walls like burgendy, darkish colors like purple or blue.
- or go to Walmart or something and see what they have for themes. ♥ [ xostarbrightbaby's advice column | Ask xostarbrightbaby A Question ]
