You should most definately try out for the team, its not their decision on what you do, its yours. And if your friends won't let you try out, then they're not good friends. Good friends would encourage you and come cheer for you even if you flat out screw the whole thing up. You could make new friends that way, too. Don't listen to them, listen to your heart.

If you think your good play, dont listen do what other people say.

You should try out for the team, what could it hurt? If you dont make the team then you can still play for fun and keep practicing and try again next year. Good Luck! Hope I helped!

First off popular people are just people so you can act like they're your normal friends and sooner or later they will become your friends!

If you want to try out, try out, but it depends will you be playing your best knowing that people are watching you (popular people), and may possibly ruin your reputation? You just have to be confident!!

Furthermore, if that's what your friends are saying then they're prob. not the ones you want to be hanging out with. Friends are the ones that you turn to for support not "put" downs to make you feel worse!!

*Hope I Helped*

If your friends are going to be like that, then you should know they aren't worth it. Good friends would support what you want to do. Try out for team :]
Good Luck :]

I definitely think that you should try out. If you really like this sport then go ahead. Who cares if only popular girls play for the team. That's probably how they get popular anyway. I don't believe that the coach will pick you due to popularity. If you really want to play, then play because you might just regret it later on if you don't try out. I hope I helped!

Seriously what kind of friends ae these that dont support you with the simplest of things such as joining the team . My advice is dont let them stop you , If your a good player then join , and if this team is for the popular people then dont let that intimidate you either , If you care at all about being popular than thats another reason you should join , your knew to this school so join and make new friends , My freshmen year I joined soccer and softball and it helped me reach the popular level at my school I made knew different friends , so do it

Try out! =] You shouldn't stay in just one clique in highschool! Every clique is greta for different reasons! You'll make great friends plus you love the sport! What could be better? Remember it's your life, not your friends. Of you listen to them and let them stop you from doing something you love, then you're letting them live your life! It's yours! Have fun! Do things! Live your life with no regrets darling! =] Hope I helped!

Much love,
Amanda

If you enjoy playing basketball then by all means do. It is fun, a way to meet other people,
and great exercise. Don't let your friends keep you from doing something you really want to do. You will regret it later. :)
