Question Posted Monday June 12 2006, 5:26 pm

14/f here.
ok here is the deal. one of my stepmoms employes has a really cute son. the problem is he is 16. we hang out in 4-h and when he comes over to my dads house, but thats just about it. i really like him too. i really want to go out with him. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

p.s. the kid i likes little brother is in my grade and we arent exactly friends... would it be weird if i started to date his older brother

Wow...that's a bit tough. Maybe you should bring a friend first (if not already). Then, flirt...little by little. Don't push it. Soon, you can tell if he likes you or not. You'll be fine! And if you seriously can't, ask him straight up.

As for the other problem. Oh jeezy. Um...I don't think it would be a problem. It would be weird, yes, but that shouldn't stop you. So go for it!

Good luck!

I dont think tht u should date him because, he is too closesly related to your dad, and i think it would be awkward and possibly cause you problems, as in being made fun if if you date the boys older bro.

A 2 year age difference isn't really a big deal so don't worry about that. Since you like this guy, just get to know him. You both will have a chance to talk and get to know each other. The next time he comes over, talk.. flirt just do your thing. =] Ask him if he has a screen name or a cell phone and just get that information and then you guys could be able to talk more. The more you talk, the more he will get to know you and like you. Since his brother is your age, don't let that effect your relationship. It's no biggy but maybe you could make friends with his brother. Who knows. Just have fun and maybe you could invite him to hang out with you & your friends or his. Good luck.

Oooook.
Before you do anything you gotta get to know this guy! You know, you have to be able to talk to him and be comfortable around him before you lay down the moves! After you establish that, it's pretty much easy-goin the rest of the way. You can start flirtin with him, maybe exchange numbers, hang-out outside of 4-H, and BAM! Your goin out! Well unless he has a girlfriend or you don't click or something like that. But with the little brother situation, I really don't think it will be a big deal. If you do end up going out, you will be able to get to know his brother through him. And everybody will get comfortable with everybody. Let me know how it goes!

If the 16 boy likes you and you like him i say go for it! And if hes brother is in your grade how does that affect you and the boy? Youll probally become better friends with the boy after you and his brother date.

hope this helps :)

Hi, just ask him out on a date. Get him with you in a quiet place and say something like "Will, the thing is right, will I don't quite know how to put it, but, I like you, and would you like to go on a date?" You would have to do it when your in a conversation with him and slowly. Remember this, you have the right to date who ever you like.
