I went to my dermatologist and at first, she gave me this special cream [prescription] and then when I came back so that she could check the warts, she noticed that the cream wasn't working. So, she just froze it off. It was fast, easy, and a little painful. It really just depends on how bad your wart is.
Moop answered Wednesday May 31 2006, 7:09 pm: duct tape works. after about two days of wearing duct tape over your wart your immune system is triggered because the skin surrounding the wart does not receive enough oxygen. then your immune system sends t-cells to the area surrounding the wart. eventually the wart turns black or dark brown and falls off. usually in a week or two.

Tulipg17 answered Tuesday May 30 2006, 8:24 am: I have read the duct tape remedy, and it involved weeks of reappling the tape and pulling it off. Meanwhile, a doctor can freeze it off in 30 seconds. You choose.
You can even buy over the counter wart freezing kits- also take about 30 seconds and you can do it yourself. Pretty cheap too. Check out the drug store. [ Tulipg17's advice column | Ask Tulipg17 A Question ]

S_C answered Sunday May 28 2006, 6:07 pm: I definitly do NOT suggest duct tape. It just isn't logical.
I had a wart once, I went to the doctor and she froze it off. It was the strangest thing I'd ever felt. But yeah, I think the duct tape thing is just plain silly. [ S_C's advice column | Ask S_C A Question ]
sshelbyy answered Sunday May 28 2006, 5:04 pm: Hey! I wouldn't suggest the duct tape.
Either get it frozen off by the doctor, which could be painful, or go to your loccal drug store and get wart remover band aids. i used this and it came off in a week and it didn't hurt and all, and its been 4 years and it hasn't come back :] Good luck!
