Disney World

Question Posted Friday May 19 2006, 10:48 pm

Hey all. I was just wondering if you could inform me about which park is better between the theme parks and between the water parks, in Disney World in Orlando, Florida. I am a thrill-seeker, meaning I like to go on great adventures and ride really scary roller-coasters, and I also like fun water rides and swimming (especially in wave pools!). Thank-you for your time.

Okey doke. I'd truly say to get a hopper. A hopper is a pass that will let you to all four theme parks with just one little card. (Don't loose it!). But if you're just going to one place I suggest...don't. Go to at least 2. MGM & Epcot are the two I suggest. MGM offers Rockin' Rollercoaster ft. Aerosmith, and the Tower of Terror, which make that park worthwhile. Epcot has Mission Space, Test Track and Soaring. Those are pretty fun. But I really suggest getting a hopper. Blizzard Beach, the water park, is byfar my favorite..

And if you're a TRUE roller coaster maniac like I am...go to CEDAR POINT in Sandusky, Ohio if you haven't already. Cedar Point is MUCH better than other silly theme parks. The Millennium Force is a 300ft. roller coaster; Top Thrill Dragster is 420ft. at 120 miles per hour is the TALLEST and FASTEST roller coaster in the world; the Mantis if 145ft. and is one of the tallest STAND UP roller coasters in the world. Other roller coasters and thrill rides include Raptor, Gemini, Wicked Twister, maXair and the new ride, Skyhawk.

Ick I sound like an advertisiment..haha.

Well have fun down South!!

If you are a thrill seeker your best bet in Disney World is MGM studios. There you will find rides such as The Tower of Terror (an elevator ride that drops you 13 stories) and the Rock N Roller Coaster (an indoor upside down roller coaster based on Aerosmith). However, Epcot also has a thrill ride, Mission Space (a simulation that really give you the expereince of launching into space, an exceptionally well done ride) And Animal Kingdom has the new coaster Expedition Everest (a ride based on the Yetis that goes backwards for a short period of time). Despite the thrill at these two parks, MGM probably has the most "thrilling" since the other two only have a few thrilling rides. However, if you are seeking real scary coasters your best bet is to try Islands of Adventure which is located not too far from Disney (about 15 minutes) and is a Universal Park. There you will find the Hulk Roller Coaster (one of my favorites) and lots of other thrills

As for water Parks there are two on Disney property. Blizzard Beach and Typhon Lagon. The latter has the most amzing wave pool, it is massive and a center piece of the park. however, Blizzard Beach features Summit Plummit, a massive body slide that is the tallest I have ever seen. Personally, I perfer Blizzard Beach for it's thrilling water rides and it too has a wave pool. However, Typhon Lagon also has many possitve aspects.

Hope that helps. If you have any other Disney questions feel free to ask me. I go there about 2-3 times a year so I know a lot about it.

As far as water parks go, Blizzard Beach is probably my favorite that I have ever been to and it's in Disney World.

For theme parks, if you need to stay within Disney World, I suggest Animal Kingdom for the new roller coaster, Expedition Everest as well as Magic Kingdom with some really classic, fun rides.
If you're really a thrill-seeker though, your best bet is to go to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure because you will find endless rides that you'll enjoy.

well magic kingdom has alottt of rides.. it has splash mountain.. which is a funn ridee.. but it just has one bigg drop.. it also has space mountain.. which is like all inside and dark.. and has drops.. and stuff none that big.. its funn.. also they have thunder railroad.. which is a rolercoaster type thing.. but it doesnt go upside down or anything.. those are the three biggest rides there..

mgm has tower of terror (my favoritee ride) which drops you 13 stories in an elevator and then brings you back up and keeps dropping you.. FUNN.. lol.. umm it also has rockin rollercoaster.. which is all inside and its a rollercoaster and it goes upside down a few times.. and takes off really really fast... those are the two big rides there..

epcot has (umm i forget what its called) but it is like a car testing thing.... and you go through tests .. and it looks like your going to crash into a wall... .and you go outside and go fast.. and then they have mission space.. (ickk which i dont like and 2 people have died on) it basically spins you around really fast so you cant even tell your spinning and your in a little thing with 2 other people.. not that fun..

and animal kingdom has the new expedition everest ride which i havent gone on cause i havent been there since last april.. but it sounds really fun.. its kind of like a rollercoaster.. i think.. and then they have the dinosaur ride.. which in the end a dinosaur jumps out at you..

(the only water park i have been to is typhoon lagoon)
and that has a huge wave pool.. it also has a creek that goes around the whole place that you can go it floaty things.. and they have waterslides.. and some rafting rides.. its funn..

hope this helped...

Well, considering that I've been there over literally seven times, I should know this stuff.
Let's see..all of the parks are good. If you like a park with a ton of different kinds of rides, Magic Kingdom would be the best. Magic Kingdom has different parts to it. There's the country/western side, the space side, the scary side, ect. There are three roller coasters here. Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, and Thunder Railroad Mountain.

Epcot--Doesn't really have as many rides as Magic Kingdom, but it has a little bit of each country that you can walk to. Like there are separate parts of countries where people that are actually from the countries work there. They all sell the food that their country makes. For example Mexico has a resturant in a pyramid or something. The food is really good in about every country. The rides there are basically rides considering the "future". I suggest the best "fast" ride is Test Track. When you go to any park to ride the rides, you might want to consider using Fast Passes. It makes it so that when there is a really large line, you can come back later and it shows the time that you can come back and ride the ride to get on quicker. The large golf ball talks about communications. Its a good ride if its extremely hot outside(which isnt a doubt) and you want to cool down. There usually isnt really a line. The line moves quick.

Blizzard Beach--A water park obviously. Not much to say but its a really cool water park. There are a ton of rides. There are not fast passes here=( which is too bad. There are always long lines. Unless the ride isnt really popular. Like almost every water park, theres a thing where you can ride around in a tube around the park and get off at any stop.

MGM-MGM is more of like a movie type of place. Like there are rides based on movies. For example--The Great Movie Ride, Tower of Terror (aka the Twilight Zone), ect. They have great restarants. The best Rollar coaster is The Rockin' Roller Coaster which is based on Aerosmith. Its really fast. There is a really nice candy store near by it also with terrific fudge. Haha, I know, Im starting to sound like all I do there is eat! Haha but they all have great food. Anyway, back to MGM. There is a small diner where you can eat in cars, I profer to make reservations. Trust me, it gets BUSY. The Brown Derby has really good food also.

Animal Kingdom--I havent really been to Animal Kingdom much. Its obvious that its about animals. There are a couple of rides here in the dinosaur section of the park.

Any more questions, send them to my inbox. Also, I would suggest to buy the book at the Disney store in any mall. It tells you about all of the rides, the new rides, the resturants, ect.

Hope I Helped!

The best "big thrill" park is Universal Islands of Adventure. That's where you find Hulk, Dueling Dragons, Jurassic Park, ect. The Disney parks are more kid oriented, although they all have two or three really big rides. I think the best of the Disney parks thrill wise is either Magic Kingdom or EPCOT. But I've never been to any water parks in Orlando, so I can't really help much there. Anyway, I would go to the Universal parks if you're seeking the biggest thrills. But Disney is still worth going to, just because it's DISNEY!!!! :)
