Minamize your sweet (cookies, brownies, ice cream ect.) and fat (butter, margerine, cream cheese, salad dressing ect.) intake. You also want to take in about four onces of protein a day (an once equals about the size of your palm) and about 7-8 carbohydrates. Instead of pigging out on fatty carbs, choose good carbs, like whole products. For example, if your going to have a sandwhich, have it on whole wheat bread instead of white. Hope this helps.

Emmiekiddo567 answered Tuesday May 16 2006, 4:52 pm: Some drinks that are good are water, fruit smoothies (not ver often though) eating lots of fruits and vegtables is good too. Some nutritious vegtables are spinach and brocoli. Do you have a farmers market near you? If so buy your foods from there. They are more fresh and healthier
hope it works out well. :]]

MikeCFT answered Tuesday May 16 2006, 3:59 pm: It's good to see that you're getting interested in your health especiallt at your age where nutrition is vital. It's just like anything else- good habits begin at home, if you were always given sugar as a kid and always have sweets around the house- you grow and adapt to that situation and always feel the need to have junk. It all really starts with baby steps- learning to have breakfast everyday that consists of good foods and not a bran muffin or a Pop tart, eating frequenlt throughout the day- you just have to take each step little by little and make yourself adapt to them so they will be incorporated into your lifestyle. But let me tell you this-
Diet soda is not healthy, reduced fat potato chips are not healthy, etc. Use your common sense and stay away from as many processed foods as you can and just enjoy the ride- don't miss the good life and become a slave to your body thinking you have to count every single calorie and all of that. BRUNETTE__BABiE__CAKESZ answered Tuesday May 16 2006, 3:31 pm: hey, well for lunch at school instead of buying the unhealty lunch bring the following- diet soda or flavored water, one fruit like an apple or soemthing, and maybe a salad. for dinner have something light like maybe a grilled cheese sandwich and maybe cheat a little and have a snack of your choice(nothing too drastic tho). for breakfast have some waffles or toast or both. cait♥ [ BRUNETTE__BABiE__CAKESZ's advice column | Ask BRUNETTE__BABiE__CAKESZ A Question ]
barbieblissx answered Tuesday May 16 2006, 3:30 pm: HM. for healthy eating cut back on so many snacks.. pass the vending machine at school and try to drink water or gatorade. For lunch I eat tuna on the go, or bring a sandwich or salad. Try to eat healthy snacks like watermeln or grapes. MAKE SURE TO EAT BREAKFEST!
