See im always like falling asleep during school or whatever im doing. I'm always tired i have no energy and i just dont want to do anything. I dont eat breakfast because i never really have time. I get enough sleep. I'm just always tired like i can sleep an entire day. But still be tired. And i have no motivation to do anything. Even sometimes when i eat breakfast it doesn't help. Is there anything i can do to help me increase my energy level and not be so tired? Plezz help thanks.
Vikki27 answered Saturday May 6 2006, 10:40 am: Firstly, and most importantly, you should ALWAYS eat breakfast because your body needs the energy it provides after the night's sleep.
Secondly, rather than thinking what can help you keep awake, you really ought to be thinking about what is making you feel so tired in the first place.
Fatigue can be a symptom of anaemia, stress, exhaustion and a host of other things. I'm not suggesting it could be anything serious at all, so please don't panic but if you are particularly tired, you should see a doctor because if there is something actually wrong with your health which is causing your tiredness, there might be a way to treat it.
Until you have seen a doctor, try taking an energy drink to lessons with you and it might be a good idea to let your teachers know you're having a little difficulty at the moment and you will be seeing a doctor about it, just so they don't think you are slacking in class. What helps me get some energy is peanut butter (Maybe on toast?) and oranges. That should make a good breakfast.
And maybe you should get your heart pumping, like maybe run for a while in the morning or whenever you're tired. It makes your heart pump blood faster, so you feel more energized. [ ElectricLime's advice column | Ask ElectricLime A Question ]
Belladonna answered Friday May 5 2006, 11:15 pm: In the morning, an apple is actually better for waking you up than coffee or tea. Just grab one on the way to school or work or whatever and you'll feel much better. I didn't used to eat breakfast either, but when I started doing that I would feel better.
You didn't mention how much sleep you got. Most people say 8 hours is needed, but teenagers actually need about 10 hours in order to function right. Also, it's good to keep to a routine with sleep. Try not to stay up late on weekends. Get up at the same time everyday if you can.
It also could be stress. Stress can make you feel really tired and worn out. People deal with stress in different ways, but once you identify what's stressing you out you can do something to remedy it. I get stressed out a lot because of school, so whenever I can I try and have fun to get my mind off school. Whatever works for you though.
Also, it could be low iron. That can make you feel lethargic. Iron supplements can help. You should probably get a blood test done to see if that is the problem before you start taking vitamins though.
There's also a chance you could have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, or some other underlying medical problem. If the problem persists, you should see your doctor.

OHilovetravis answered Friday May 5 2006, 10:59 pm: Hey,
Well I know for me like eating breakfast in the morning helps ALOT because before i'd be incredily tired in the morning, then I started eating breakfast and it motivates me to keep going. I know Cofee can give you sugar an that is good, also red bull. But cofee or cappucino ppl usually drink because it gives them energy boosts. If not try and chew gum. But HOneStly if your problem is that serious I would consult a doctor because they have prescribed pills for that kinda stuff! Hope I helped somewhat!

Make sure you are sleeping up to 8 hours and going to bed around the same time each night. Not following a schedule can mess you up, also if you sleep more than 8 hours each night, you may wake up groggy the next morning due to too much sleep. When you have slept more than 8 hours your body is used to sleeping so you wake up, yet your body isn't ready to, in which could cause sleepiness. I wouldn't recommend drinking so many energy drinks. Its not good for you and could cause you to stay up later than usual yet be tired the next day. You also must eat 3 meals a day, breakfast is most important because it prepares you for the rest of the day. Im not trying to be a health freak here but ever since I found out I was pregnant, I got right on top of these subjects and knocked them out. They are all very important. I hope I helped. Good luck!
