If you feel comfortable talking about it then definitly..pretty much every girl goes and tells their friends when they get their period. Who else are you gonna talk to about it..because it can be wierd when you first get it. Im also sure your friend would want to know! Congrats!! good luck! <3 caitie

Well, I know me and my best friends tell each other when we get ours and stuff. Heck, we are the ones who supply pads for each other!

Periods are nothing to be embarrassed about. They are a natural part of life.

well has she told you, and if you don't feel confortalbe about saying hey, um..i got my period then leave subtle hints like leaving a tampon on your dest or go to the bath room alot lol but it just depends if you feel like sharing that.

If you feel comfortable doing so, then just tell her. There really isn't a reason not to, because every girl has their period at one point in their life.

If you want to tell her, then go for it. Chances are if she hasnt gotten it yet, she will get it soon. Everybody gets in (well, girls) and it's nothing to be ashamed of. I know the exact day when all of my best friends got theirs (haha, they range from Christmas Eve to their birthdays to just random days) and al of their stories, but only one of them told me about it on the fay it actually happened. I'd say, if you want to tell her, go for it, but everyone is entitled to keeping a few secrets to themselves, even away from their best friends in the world.

It really isn't that big of a deal if you tell anyone about your period. But it's nothing you should hide, we all go through it, so just tell her and everything will be easier. She IS your best friend :]
