Homework

Question Posted Friday March 10 2006, 4:53 pm

I need some help. I need to know how to motivate myself to do homework and study. I could be getting excellent grades right now because I know I'm capable. I just put off studying all the time and doing homework.

Thanks to anyone who can help!

I'm exactly like you but I don't know about you but my parents get on to me I failed a class this 9 weeks and now my mom is coming in and sitting in there with me til I start doing better which will be embassing. I could be capable of making a's but i get b's and c-'s.. if your parents get mad and start yelling at you and your tired of it there is your motivation

The best thing to do is get yourself into a studying state of mind. Do this by doing good work delay tactics, such as tidying your desk, cleaning your schoolbag, answering important emails or flicking through your text books. Doing these things when you should actually be doing homework or studying gets you into a working state of mind, so you'll find it much easier to start doing work.

get off advicenators ! ahah i`m only kidding. but really, cutting back the time you spend on the internet or watching TV really helps you do your homework. because if theres nothing else to do, why not do your homework.

and i`m getting ready to go to college and i slacked off a lot of my highschool career and its really affecting what schools i will or won`t get into. so think of your future, what you wanna do where you wanna go. because without good grades it makes your future a lot harder.

Set aside a specific time each day and say that you will sit down for that tie everyday and do your homework, and set goals so be like if you get this grade then you will go out and buy yourself a new outfit...or something like that.

Not sure if this will help or not,but try to get on the honor roll, and i'm not sure how your parents are,but if they are always on your back about studying and stuff, try to prove them wrong and that you can do it,you will gain more freedom from their parents if they know that you can handle things on your own without them asking you to do anything. hope this helps!!
