weight loss

Question Posted Saturday February 25 2006, 9:34 am

I really need to lose weight but I work from 4-9 so when I get home I eat which is bad. I can't eat on my break because it is only 15 minutes long so I can't eat that quick. Should I just skip eating dinner or what?

you should not continue to skip dinner because it is not healthy and when you dont eat dinner u r more tempted to eat junk late at night, and thats where you gain your weight. so you should ask your boss for a longer break and hopefully he will give in.

good luck

The key to loosing weight is not about starving yourself...this does not work, it makes things worse...your body needs a certain amount of fats each day, and if you dont receieve that from you regular food, then any food that you eat your body will store as fats, so starving yourself is not the option..

The key to loosing weight is a healthy diet and regular exercise.

You say you work from 4-9, well in the mornings before you work, before you even eat breakfast, go jogging or do anything that will break you out in a sweat. Morning is the best time for exercise as your body has gone around 12 hours without food while you are sleeping, depending on how long you sleep for. This means your body works off the stored fat straight away, rather if you eat first your body has too work off all the food you just ate before accessing your body fat.

Secondly, do not starve yourself. Instead of having three straight meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) have 6 small meals in your day. It proportions things out. Try to have a small meal around every 3 hours apart if you can, even if its like an apple and banana. Your body should never really go hungry.

And basic skills, cut out junk food, or minimise it atleast, crisps (or chips as they call them in america) sweets, chocolate that sort of thing. Try to stay off the fizzy drinks such as coke, they contain alot of sugar and do not help with dieting.

Give it a go for two or three weeks, see how it goes, if you need anything else just message me..or email: sanjeev_sangar@hotmail.com

Hope ive helped..

Eat a plentiful breakfast and lunch. That should hold you over until your work gets over, and then you can munch on a healthy snack. On your break, you could pack a quick snack if you get hungry beforehand.

You shouldn't skip dinner. You could eat something small before you go, and then some on your break. Or take a slimfast bar or drink and have that on your break.

i would say cut your dinner it half.. like on your break eat like a half of a sandwhich and a side salad and when you get home have another half of a sandwhich or like a small bowl of soup. to lose weight you arent really supose to each much after 7 but yuodont want to cut the meal out at all. try eating maybe before you go to work or on your way to work then just have a small snack on your break!

♥ Do not skip eating dinner. Then you become anorexic. As if people haven't told you about that before. So i'm not gonna go into detail. But what you should do is

♥ eat a small healthy breakfast.
♥ then eat something for lunch that is a little bigger, but still healthy.
♥ pack a little snack, like some grapes, crackers, or something little and healthy like that to eat at work.
♥ then again eat something even bigger for dinner. that is also healthy.

♥ you want to make sure that you are still eating every meal that you are supposed to be eating, just cutting it down, and making it healthier, also, you should try to find some time to work out, or exercise if you can. Good luck. xoxo.

well you should probably eat a small snack so that you feel like you ate and not on an empty stomach and then when you get home you shouldnt be as huungry but when you do eat try to eat a good meal like without the junk food and all the food groups.

Contrary to popular belief, you can eat later than 7 pm and still lose weight. The key is in making sure your meal is a healthy one. I worked night shift for a while and lost weight even though I ate around midnight.

To help keep you from overindulging when you come home, try fixing healthy snacks to eat on your break. Fresh fruits and veggies are easy healthy snacks you can try. Then, when you get home, fix a light, healthy meal. Try a salad topped with grilled chicken or a veggie-filled omelet.

I wouldn't suggest skipping meals because it actually works against you when you're trying to lose weight.
