the_unexpected answered Friday February 3 2006, 8:03 pm: its from the same tissue before your born, everyone starts out w/ the same tissues, but depending on whether you're a boy or a girl they develop into different things. there was nothing for nipples to develop into in boys, so they just kept them. HOPLESSxROMNTC answered Friday February 3 2006, 12:10 am: Ive learned this before, its because when your an embryo, your not a girl or boy yet. So the body part (nipples) start to grow and then you either turn into a boy or girl and for boys, their chest gets the gene to not grow.

When you are an early-aged embryo you aren't a boy or girl yet (so I guess that body part forms early on, even if you don't turn out to be a girl). [ honu22's advice column | Ask honu22 A Question ]
