I feel really moronic asking this because it's stupid and one of those annoying Valentine's Day questions, but it would be really nice if someone could try to help. I'm 13 in the 7th grade and I've really liked this guy named Will for a long time. He's not quite a best friend, but a friend nevertheless. I was wondering whether on Valentine's Day it would be stodgy to send him a carnation (the school is selling carnations on Valentine's Day to donate money to child prostitutes in India) anonymously? I don't think he would laugh because he's a pretty romantic and sensitive guy himself. What do you think?

i think that would be cute. if he likes you back *besides being a friend* then thats great, and you'll be happy. but if he doesn't, than you can just laugh it off and say " oh, that was just to help those kids in india!" that way, you won't have embarrassed yourself, but you will know how he feels about you. hope i helped!

Then chat with him on the email slowllllly letting him know who you are.. nd seee if he is interested..

thats a great idea but if you think your brave enough try to sign it with your name not anonymously this way its a hint that you care but you can always make it light by writing some kinda joke on it like:
Love and stoplights can be cruel. - Sesame Street
Love at first sight is possible, but it pays to take a second look
or be bold and say "love is blind, but friendship closes its eyes"

Yea I think you should send him one! If you wanna be bold about it you could write on a note (you get to send notes with the flowers right?) and the note can say that you like him. When he talks to you about it, if he sounds interested tell him that you like him. If he sounds wierded out about it then say you were joking around and say that he's so gullible to play it off!

They used to have that in my school! Sending Will a carnation is a great idea. What have you got to lose? He's a good friend of yours so even if he doesn't get the hint it wouldn't be awkward because people send flowers to friends all the time. He'd have to be pretty clueless to not get the hint though. I think it's an excellent foolproof plan. Go for it!

I think that's a really great idea! I would also suggest writing a note (still anonymously). He'll be flattered and extremely curious as to who wrote it! Sounds fun, lol, hope you go along with it! Heehee!
