Whoa! That's kind of hard. But what you need to realize is that it really is the thought that counts. No fa real. The though does count! If you get him something cheap that's his style the he will like, it'll be enough. Think 99cent stores!

Since you'll haven't kissed or anything (if you are comfortable enough) make the first move and kiss him. After that if you'll are really comfortable you'll can go a little further.
edit: I'm almost positive that he won't be feeling awkward, if anything it will probably get him excited ;)
