Borededness answered Monday January 16 2006, 3:09 pm: Of course she could get it. It doesn't matter. If he still has it, then she might get it. You should maybe inform her with some facts or something, and maybe she'll stop. [ Borededness's advice column | Ask Borededness A Question ]
orphans answered Monday January 16 2006, 1:32 pm: Break outs or no breakouts.
he still has herpes.
So yes, its VERY possible for her to get.
I'd tell her to go to a clinic. [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
ncblondie answered Monday January 16 2006, 1:26 pm: Just because he isn't having breakouts doesn't mean he's not contagious. It is possible to transmit herpes even if you're showing no symptoms. According to the planned parenthood website, there is a 4-10% chance of being infected by a partner who is showing no symptoms. I would definitely suggest your friend get tested immediately. I'm going to refer you to a couple websites with more detailed information. PC13QT answered Monday January 16 2006, 10:15 am: It is always better to be safe than sorry. There are many free clinics where you can go get tested. If you really care about this person you will talk to her and tell her to get tested. Just because you are not having breakouts doesn't mean you are not contagious. Be safe, get her tested.
