Question Posted Monday January 2 2006, 12:33 am

i know it's early to be worrying about this, but having an idea will help me sleep at night. really. haha.

i've been with my boyfriend for two months now. i've never had a boyfriend for valentine's day. do i give him anything? if so, what?

also, what would you expect to get FROM a guy?

thanks so much.

It is always different what a guy gives but they give really sweet gifts. Try to get him something like a chocolate bar or a box of chocolate or maybe a teddy bear. You can't go wrong with any of those. He will get you jewelery or chocolate or a teddy bear or flowers most likely. But it is the thought that counts!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if y'all are still going out, you should give him something. but it doesnt need to be anything expensive. make him a build-a-bear or something like that if theres something like that around where you live. another good idea is to make one of those no-sew fleece blankets. :)

You don't need to give him anything. Like a random flowergirl said to me, "Valentine's Day is the one day you can recieve something from him [your boyfriend] and have him not expect anything in return... except the obvious" and since you've been going out for just two months, that's kind of out of the question unless you've done it already. If you want to, you could make him a cute card or get him a rose but it doesn't matter much.
Unless he's a nonconformist, he'll probably get you something along the lines of: red, chocolate, roses, stuffed animals.

You should get him something. Get him some chocolates & a card.

Guys can be romantic but most of them just follow the tradition. Flowers, teddy bear, chocolates and a card.

It would probably be good to give him something. Just make a nice card and give him some chocolate(assuming he likes chocolate, of course), and he should be happy. But don't expect anything from him, because if you're expecting something and he doesn't give anything to you, you'll be really disappointed. So give him something if you want, and if he gives you something, great, but if he doesn't, don't be too upset.

Hmm. Its funny, because an I love you teddy bear works for a guy or girl. Like, you could definitly pull off getting your boyfriend a teddy bear. Evidently, since its only your first valentines day together, you dont want to go all out for it.So, I'd suggest that you get him an I Love you teddy bear. Or, if you guys are in that love step into your relationship, get him a teddy bear that is just holding a plain heart. You could also exspect from a guy roses, and chocolates. Thats really sweet that your thinking about your boyfriend so soon lol. Good Luck and hope I helped!!!
