just like dad
My father died about 3 years ago and now I am going out with this boy that is a lot like him...is that a bad thing? I mean I love him but he is just...a lot like my dad! Am I being stupid going out with him or is it like a bad ideas or something? I have these feelings like he is going to leave me, but I thought that maybe that is just because my dad "left" me...I don't know...I'm confusing...I know! But I would really like any help I can get!thanks!

just because he reminds you of your dad it doesnt mean that you shouldnt go out with him . if you think that your dad was a good role model for others to follow, then theres no reason why you should feel guilty about it . its natural to keep remembering your dad, but its okay because he never left you on purpose .

Maybe it would be different if your dad left your family but he didn't. He died its not like he packed up and left. You shouldn't worry about that.

um if i were you i wouldnt like to go out with someone who reminded me of my dad for that reason and because if you like kiss him... well and you think about your dad, um eww. anyways it might be a bad idea that you two go out because if he leaves, you might get real depressed and act like your dad is leaving you again. hope i helped - - <3 michelle

Stay with him. If you have feelings for him, don't leave him. Love him. Cherish him. You're probably partially attracted to this young man because he is so much like your dad, and you loved your dad. It's normal. Don't worry.

Hey! Well maybe this is one of God's plan. Maybe he wants you to love someone you lost...but your Dad is still in your heart no matter what. So let this guy just be another part...if it's true love...it doesn't matter if he is just like dad...really that is a good thing..to help you remember someone you loved. No, it's not dumb. It's normal. Women are generally attracted to men who are like their father while men look for women who are like their mother. It isn't wrong in anyway. It's genetic.

Yeah..it's totally fine if you want a guy who has traits like your dad. You probably want somebody to protect you and make you feel loved...just like your dad used to. And NO..you are not stupid just because you want to go out with him.

Of course it isn't weird, that's usually normal. Most people are like that, so you're not singled out. It's not BAD though, I think in a way it'd be nice to have a little company from someone who reminds you of your dad.
