Where are the Manners??

Question Posted Wednesday December 7 2005, 8:40 pm

I don't know if this is teenagers all around of if it's just my high school but it seems that they have just forgotten (or not taught) what manners are!

I see so many kids in school being rude everyday it's crazy.

Today I saw a teacher walking with allot of things in her hand and this guys in front of her opened the door for him and then just shut it in her face.

I've seen people kick books that others drop, turn around and bitch someone out just because the person accidentally ran into them, yesterday I even saw that a guy had dropped his text book and a girl that was walking tripped over it and fell on the ground and he didn't even say anything to her, just picked up his book and walked off. Just mean things like that.

Have kids always been this rude?

No, they haven't always been this rude.

There have always been a few but it does seem worse these days.

I do blame a lot of it on not being taught at home. There are so many more broken homes any more. Dad isn't there on daily basis to teach much. Mom has to work and doesn't have as much time as they once did.

Then again society as a whole seems to be more ME driven these days. Don't worry a lot about the next guy.

Hopefully there are enough out there like you who can make it change. :)

Hi there,

I don't think it's always been this bad, but it's getting progressively worse. Even since I was at school 8 years ago!

The only thing you can do is make sure that you are polite and that if/when you chose to have children you educate them well to be polite and midful of their manners!

Take care!

Mel xx

Ps Contrary to what TeenWillHelpTeens said London is not perfect eother! We have just as many little sh!ts over here as you get over there!

Well i'm very sorry to say but some peopl are just jerks. Not ALL schools are like this though, I know I would NEVER shut the door on a teachers face. Maybe their parents just didnt teach them or were ignored in that sense. Theres nothing to really do about it, just dont get influenced by it.

It's pretty much all high schools. I think many teenagers now are in that whole "fuck that, I don't care" mode.

Some people are asses, some are pussies and some are dicks. The asses and the pussies always get fucked by the dicks. I don't know if I quoted that right.
