Other than a dictionary definition, without using the word to define it, can anyone explain what truth really is? Thanks in advance, will rate 4 or higher.
Mercy_x_Me answered Wednesday November 30 2005, 9:37 pm: The truth is speaking of something or someone in a validity of the actuality.
The truth is saying it like it is. You can tell 99% of a story truthfully, but if you change one little detail...that 1% makes it become no longer a truth, but a false remark.
GDROB2 answered Wednesday November 30 2005, 9:25 pm: 2+2=4 That is Truth. Truth is something people may try to eraase, bury, deny but it is that which is concrete that cannot be destroyed. 2+2=4 will always be fact no matter if people come along after us that do not know math. It is that which is set in something even deeper than stone. I hope this helps. It's a metaphysical way of looking at it but that's where I was taught about Truth. BecauseYouLivex3 answered Wednesday November 30 2005, 9:09 pm: Truth in my words is honesty. something thats real such as a fact. Not made up stuff like rumors. Like that game telephone at the end it always gets messed up ... between the rumors it gets a little messed up so that would be considered a lie. And not the truth. Its justlike a primary source. Something thats true because you witnessed it yourself. So to sum it up truth is
- real
- a fact

xshortxnxsweeetx answered Wednesday November 30 2005, 7:21 pm: truth - an honest statement, opinion, and/or answer.
To tell the truth is pretty much just to be honest.
cheburashka answered Wednesday November 30 2005, 7:01 pm: truth is the non-existent form of reality that should be percieved by everyone in the same way. but, it doesn't really exist because everyone percieves the world differently. therefore, when we say the word "truth," what we actually mean is our real perception of something.
