Aww...I don't know what to say! =(

Question Posted Sunday November 13 2005, 11:57 am

My boyfriend just called me after he got back from hunting (we also talked at 5 AM this morning) and something was wrong so I asked him what it was and he said he had just had to shoot his dog. Because his dad ran over him with the truck (accidentally) and he had a broken back. You can tell my boyfriend is really upset, and I wanna say something to make him feel better if he's still appears upset about it later. He told me about it when he called then said he was going to go to bed (tired from hunting all morning.)

Any advice? I WILL RATE!

support him and be there for him! He saved him dog alot of pain. tell him he did the right thing, no matter how hard it was for him. and after he is mostly over it, like still kinda sad but has the ability to smile and laugh at simple things...... take him puppy shopping! tell him you will go anywhere, that u dont care if it takes all day, that you are gonna find him another puppy! tell him it's his choice, that he doesnt have to go if he doesnt want to. but just top let u know it helps alot when an old pet dies to get a new one of his/her own choice! it helps them not forget but keep them occupied and gives them something to care for and love! well good luck and i hope i helped!

Just take him out and have fun lke a theme park or something to make him forget....You could also get a dog that is free no money and give it to him he would be happy and maybe he won't feel so bad.....*~*Ciara*~*

aww im sorry to hear that, your boyfriend is probably feeling really delicate at the moment so hug him, talk to him about it if he wants to just be there for him and give him the love he needs

Aw, I understand that you want to be there for him and help him, but at times like these all you have to do to help is to be there for him. There isn't much you can do to cheer him up because he just lost his dog and it's a natrual thing to be upset. All he should count on is you being there for him and if he ever needs to talk he knows that you're there. It might take him a while to get over the lost of his dog, but he'll be okay.

No worries about the rating - I'm here to help!
All you can do now is just be there for him, tell him that he can talk to you about anything at any time, good or bad and that you'll always be there to listen if you can't help. Let him know that your shoulder is always there for him to cry on.

awww, that`s sad.* but i`m sure it was the best thing to do.-- he prolly feels guilty since HE was the one to shoot his own dog. i know i would be pretty upset. but there isn`t anything he can do now.* just be there for him until he gets over this. it`s prolly going to take a while. but just be supportative when he wants to talk. and assure him that your there, so he knows he can talk to you. =[ x0x♥

thats really sad about your boyfriend's dog. maybe the best thing you can do is to just let him know that you are there for him and that as much as it hurts to lose his dog that he will always have people there for him.
