I`m a straight A student. Last week I grabbed the wrong composition notebook so I wasn`t able to turn in my weekly D.O.G Work. My teacher refused to take it when I turned it in late for half credit. I told her today I admit I made a mistake and asked if there was anything I could do. ( my grade was a 96 but since I didn`t turn it down it went to a 71%) She yelled at me, Told me she wouldn`t grade any crap that I would do to get extra credit, laughed in my face, and completly insulted me ( and made me cry ; I don`t cry easily ) in front of the whole class. Now getting a C wouldn`t upset me, however if I don`t get 98 or above on ALL my papers/projects/tests from now on that grade could easily fall to an F and I would be kicked off of the cheerleading squad and lose my Captain position. What do I do ? I Have no hope of getting any sorta extra credit ; progress reports come out on this coming Monday and my coach always does grade checks.
PLEASE HELP ME.

You cannot put up w/that! Teachers are supposed to help you! Now about your grades, calm down and think about the situation (i know, i know it sounds boring but it works)You need to make the grade. So do all your homework from now on very carefully and make sure someone else knows your situation. TELL YOUR COACH! she/he should know why your grade went down. Anyways your teacher was so mean and ummmm really rude. That is my advice. [ irishgal000's advice column | Ask irishgal000 A Question ]

Sparklenshine48 answered Monday November 7 2005, 6:23 pm: My advice to you is that just keep you grades up. Study very hard. I made stait A(s) to and am on the cheerleading squad. Its hard. Well just keep trying. Focus more on your school work then you cheerleading. Plus if you have a test coming up it will bring your grade up a lot. All teachers are stupid and are totally unfair. Just keep trying and hang in there. Make a couple good grades and you grade will rise. Just hang in there. Just Sparkle and Shine!

AskAndy answered Monday November 7 2005, 6:13 pm: Get the principal and your parents in on it. She went way too far. Ask the principal if there is anything you can do and not her, because it was an honest accident and she flipped out, or get your parents to have a confrence with her to ask her why she did this to you. Your parents can scream at teachers but sadly students cant so thats what parents are for afterall. :)

SweetxxIntoxication answered Monday November 7 2005, 6:02 pm: you need to report your teacher, have one of your parents/guardians call school and have them talk to the principle.
there is no reason for a teacher to react this way, at all.
kensey123 answered Monday November 7 2005, 5:32 pm: Jeez.... your teacher is kind of mean. Well, tell your parents and have them talk to the principal or something about it. I understand what you're talking about and thats not fair.
GDROB2 answered Monday November 7 2005, 5:30 pm: Tell your parents what happened and what the teacher did. Have them go directly over her head to the principal and the trustee for the area. I am sure it will be resolved. You deserve to keep your cheerleading position so involve the coach too. Some of these teachers need their ass kicked by parents now and then for pulling this kind of junk and singling out a child for a mistake they never meant to make.
Make sure you and fellow adults make your opinions known if she always treats you in this manner. Someone should ask her "Do you have a problem or a chip or your shoulder?" I could see the anger, the insults etc if you constantly did this but you are a good kid and stay out of trouble and don't make excuses. [ GDROB2's advice column | Ask GDROB2 A Question ]
Melissag523 answered Monday November 7 2005, 5:30 pm: Talk to the principal and tell her/him what happened..its without a doubt not right for her to laugh in your face and its not right for her to not trust you when you are a straight a student [ Melissag523's advice column | Ask Melissag523 A Question ]
