bisexuality

Question Posted Saturday November 5 2005, 8:39 pm

I'm really confused about a lot of things. I think that I may be bisexual, but I'm not really sure how to tell. I wonder if telling myself I am is what's making me that way. I've never done anything with someone of the same sex, but I've talked to people about bisexuality and I think about it a lot. How do you know you're bisexual? I know it's probably different for different people, and please don't say "you just know". Thanks in advance, any serious answers will be helpful.

Look, I'm bi as well. I haven't done anything with anyone of the same sex either but, for a while, I was curious as to what it might be like. And then I started being really confused, because I knew that I wasn't a lesbian, I liked guys. Progressively, I accepted the fact that I might be attracted to girls too. Deep down, I think everyone has thought about bisexuality once in their lives. Everyone is attracted to both sexes, just on a different level. In the end, it's not about one gender or the other, it's who you like, and guy or girl is fine. Just think about how it might affect you in the long term and then you'll just figure it out.
Hope this helped a bit. It can get confusing.

Well it all depends if you think about girls & guys in a sexual way. If you think about both you're bisexual. If you ONLY think about girls in a sexual way, you're most likely a lesbian. Last but not least, if you ONLY think about guys in a sexual way you're straight. And I'm sure you already know this but, ask yourself if you like guys and girls, or if you just like girls. Hope I helped!

Yeah it is tough to tell if you are bisexual or not because some teenagers are just very curious and experimental and everything. Just awhile and don't assume you are... just hang around with people that are of the same sex and see what happens. See if whenever you are hanging out with them you might think "ones cute" or something and see if you start to develop feelings for them, cause then that'll mean you are. But if you really don't, then you just might have been going through a curious phase in your life or something. I hope I helped!

MELii

i am a bisexual. bisexuality is something that many girls think about but never admit to being. if you often think about girls in a sexual way (such as body parts, sexual intercourse, or relationship-wise) then you are more than likely bi. but, remember that being bi is a feeling, its not something that you just go around saying trying to be cool or jus because you thought once about a girl. and if your not completly sure that your bi, dont go around telling people that you are because if you eventually realize that it was just a phaze and meant nothing, you will more than likely get teased from peers.(and thats not always fun nor is it easy to deal with) :) hope that helped.

Hay i used to feel the same as you so dont worry about it, most people go through it, even if they dont turn out to be bi or gay at the end.

The most important thing to remember is that it doesnt matter whether you are bi or not, what matters is that you are happy with yourself.

It doesnt matter knowing whether you are bi or not, although it can be frustrating not knowing sometimes, but you cant push these things, just let whatever happens happen and it will all be ok in the end.

Take care xx

Dear Bisexuality,

You said "I wonder if telling myself I am is what's making me that way'. This can be true to a point. If you tell yourself something enough times your brain will believe it. It's like convincing yourself.

You will know you are bisexual because you are physically attracted to both sexes.

To tell if you are bisexual, you will need to get some props. Get yourself movies or magazines, (movies preferably, stimulation is better) ones that have all men only, and then ones that have all women only, and then men and women having sex.

If you get aroused watching women doing women, then you are attracted to women. If you get aroused watching men doing men then you are attracted to men. If you get aroused watching both of these categories then you are bisexual. If you are only turned on by men doing women, then you are not bisexual.

Being bisexual is normal it just means that you are attracted to beautiful people regardless of gender. Good Luck, and I hope I helped out.

Sincerely,

Honestymatters

if you want to know if your bisexual, why dont you try something with a person of the same sex, if you enjoy it the same as being with a person of oppostite sex, than maybe you are bi...theres nothing embarrasing about it either. Its probably better than being completly straight...you ccan keep your options wide open....

hope i helped

naimee answered Saturday November 5 2005, 10:24 pm:
Well, I'm not bisexual. But I asked my friend and he clearly said this. "For girls, its sometimes when she sees that a lot of guys mistreat her friends or such and starts to find the same sex attractive. Something like that." I hope I helped. Personally, in my perspective, but being straight; I think.. you'd know if you're just around more girls then guys, but I think before you label yourself bisexual, you should try some stuff w/ girls to see if you really think you are. I used to think I was bisexual in 7th grade, but it was just something that lasted a couple of months. I thought I felt more comfortable around girls then guys. But it was just that I was around a lot more girls then guys. :)

The only way to really know is to try something with the opposite sex and if you like it you are. If you don't then you're not.

TheTeenGirl answered Saturday November 5 2005, 9:31 pm:
You're most likely confusing yourself with being bisexual and being curious about bisexuallity. Likely, you're very curious with it. Every girl is curious about having sexual contact with someone of the same sex, but it doesn't mean that they want it. But, I can't actually tell you how you know when you're bisexual, all I know is that you should not ever try to define yourself when you're only about 15 or 16. That is a teen phase where you're putting your finger on who you are, and you need to just live your life, and you'll find it easier to discover yourself later on when you mature and are an adult.
