When you first start shaving sometimes if you have sensitive skin it will take awhile for your skin to adjust to being shaved. I had those stupid bumps for years. It's actually pretty normal to get them. What I found to work was to use soap instead of shaving cream and to make sure that the razor I was using was very sharp. Try looking at different types of deoderant...brands like Dove have lotions in them that may help a little too. The bumps will go down and look less obvious if you don't shave every day. Only shave your armpits like, once a week or so unless you're going to wear a shirt that they can be seen in. This will help more than anything. Eventually, they'll pretty much just miraculously disappear. Until then, good luck, and know that you're not alone! [ sizzlinmandolin's advice column | Ask sizzlinmandolin A Question ]

Infact use roll on deo instead of spray, it's kinder on your skin. Only shave when you really need to (i.e. when you are wearing a top with no sleeves) so youthe bumps can 'calm down'. Try hair removal cream (but not for about three days after you last shaved or it'll burn and sting) or waxing (painful but worth a try!). Finally, see if you can buy Dove deodorant or another similar brand with moisturisor in it to help! Good luck :) [ BeautifulMadness's advice column | Ask BeautifulMadness A Question ]
aquababe answered Wednesday October 26 2005, 4:56 pm: i used to have those too. sometimes if you shave when the hair isnt long enough (not that you want it down to your elbows or anything) it will cut your armipit and give you razorbumps. cream works soo much better then shaving gel, and if you have a disposable razor, i would only use it 4-5 times and then throw it away to make sure it stays sharp. dove deodorant also helps make it smooth. hope it works!! :-) [ aquababe's advice column | Ask aquababe A Question ]
orphans answered Wednesday October 26 2005, 4:13 pm: Oh my god, I had the same problem in the summer. Here are some tips:
Make sure your underarms are wet enough.
When you put on the shaving cream, shut off the water, so it isn't running.
LOAD on the shaving cream. Work it into your skin; don't just slap it on.
Before getting out of the shower, run the cold water so that it will close your pores under your arms, so therefore, no bacteria will get in and it will reduce the number of bumps.
I really hope I helped. Good luck with this!
